Thank you for alerting me to the topic "Why do love spells never work" at http://www.pliner.net/appmb2/134a9f/337789/3/. I have read through this and noted, quite rightly, what Denise said:
"Genuine magick never fails - it's usually a fault in the application or a misconceived idea of where to apply focus".
With all due respect to you, I don't know what possessed me (if you'll forgive the pun :-)) to write on the forum so I have written direct to the SA for help.

At the risk of repeating myself I have had a similar debate with someone else on this forum with a topic titled 'Why do love spells never work ?'
I'm sure if you have not already read this post you will find it very interesting in relation to your current situation.

Thank you for your answer and although I do understand what you're saying, I can't let him go.
I gave myself an iChing reading this evening asking if he was rebelling against the spell and got hexagram No. 14 Ta Yu (possession in great measure - supreme success) with no changing lines. So, the future hexagram is the same (if my understanding is correct). I am taking this to mean that he isn't rebelling and therefore what you have said is correct.
However, Marabas states in the Love Spell kit that:
"This lovespell draws two people together in a Love binding rite. Once the magical knots are tied by tradition the forces work to inexorably draw the people together".
So whatever the reason for what happened, the fact is that he is still wanting to see me and calling me every day. I've been dumped but he's still around and he seems to be his old self again.
I'm very confused.

It could be a case that this guy is n't subconsciously rebelling against the spell,but is in fact showing his true colours and is not compatable with you.
Don't waste anymore time trying to keep him,instead I think it would be a far better to work a spell for your soul mate ( the Gods will bring the best person for you) which is given in Frater Marabas's Master Class in Ceremonial Magic audio CD.
I used this same spell many years ago for my soul mate and am still with her 20 years later !

I performed this spell three months ago and now something a little 'weird' has happened. I've been dumped. Now, I know this may sound daft but I believe the reason is because the spell has worked. Everything I have used from the SA has worked so I had no doubts about this whatsoever.
I got this guy using the Snow Queen perfume, just to see how the relationship would work out. Everything seemed to be going okay so I decided to do the Love Spell. I had actually forgotten about it and then things started going 'wrong' in the relationship. As he is a guy who says "no-one is going to tell me what to do" and a little bit 'bulshy', I am assuming that this is a subconscious adverse reaction to the spell.
What I have been doing these past couple of days is to use the dream time spell, giving commands through his wax image and have also used the "Come Back to Me Oil" on his photograph.
Under normal circumstances, I would just let him go because he turned out to be not the type of person that I thought he was and he portrayed himself to be. However, I do believe he is acting strangely and having a "Jekyll and Hyde" personality because of subconsciously fighting against the spell.
I would appreciate anyone's take on this and whether what I am doing is correct or not or should be doing something else.

I think I would rather do it all in one go rather than twice - I can wait a little while longer plus it gives me a little more time to work on the image doll :-)
Thank you for your answer - I shall certainly bear this in mind when working other more urgent spells.

Depends how desperate you are,why not do it today?I know the moons waning an all that,but it can't hurt then you'll compound the effect when you rework it in a couple of weeks time.
Seize the moment experience has taught me whilst magical timing is desirable its not always essential!

Hi Ricenpeas and thank you for your answer.
The spellkit for loves desire states that the spell should be performed at the third or tenth hour after sunset which is why I questioned if my results would be impeded if I performed it in the morning after sunrise.
I have taken another look at the SA year planner as you suggested and note that the first and eighth hours after sunrise on a Friday are also the hours of Venus so I shall perform my spell in the morning :-)

Hi Willowtree. You are correct that traditionaly the day for doing love spells is a friday, as each day is associated with a planetry energy. Also, each day is broken down into planetry hours and Venus occurs twice in each day (once in the day time and once in the night time) so, yes, it is ok to perform love spells in the day. I am planning on doing the Love Spell (P100) in a couple of weeks but may not be able to perform it in the evening after sunset. Is it therefore okay to perform it in the morning after sunrise instead, on the nearest Friday before the Full Moon please? In other words, would it impede my results if I perform it in the morning instead of evening?
