Do What Thou Will shall be the Whole of the Law
A new visitor, does marabus mean the negative elements of the dweller on the threshold, or shadow?
All occult schools we know of, consider the Qlippoth as something very different.
We also cannot understand the paradox, 'believe only what you experience, trust in us???
Even the shells have independent existance, being malevolent shades. Has the writer misunderstood? If not, I cannot this system, none of us could. However, I was curious, now I know.
Love is The Law, Love under Will.
[Infoburst: The statement 'Believe only in what you yourself experience' is the first law of the occult. And we are not getting into an incestuous intellectual debate on Existentialism here. The statement means 'Take everything you hear with a pinch of salt until you have proven it yourself'. Test even the most obvious statements, including this one. This shiboleth should particularly be applied to your statement 'all occult schools we know of see this differently'. I deduce from one of Luck9's latest comments above about his 'adept' packing-in magic after getting married that the thread he generated is a classic example of an earnest beginner becoming totally mislead by NAN and then magnifying that error by creating a thread here in which forum users made the mistake of assuming he was referring to somebody who really knew what they were talking about. All true initiates know that it is not possible for an adept to 'pack-in' his magick just as it is not possible for a human to stop breathing!. If you want to start a debate on the meaning and practical application of the Qlippoth then please begin another thread. BB Denise W. ]

Hi 888
Jnana/Gnana. It is Knowledge Yoga. 'I AM THAT' is a good book of this by a Jnani ('Knower' is a rough translation). In relation to this, I am also interested in the connection between Celts and Hindus (If you are interested, I suggest some of Peter Beresford Ellis' articles in regards to this). So I, maybe incorrectly, see some Hindu Teachers/Gurus as modern day version of Druids. :)
The idea of this system is that you become United with the Cosmos/Absolute through knowledge. One method, which you may be familiar with, is to continually ask "what am I?" or "who am I?" and gradually work back until you find the source.
Hope this gives some insight :)
All the best

....and he also said that he had read Crawley and had been for some years on the path of the ego...........but he has now given all of this up since he got married but has still kept his books etc......
Hope this clarifies things. I would really appreciate your input as I now feel like a complete fool!

That is fine. I have no problem stating my interest. A friend of mine who is a Psychiatrist practicing in Germany is claiming that he studied tantric sex & sex magic for some years and then carried out certain rituals with women at certain times of the year to raise energy and ALSO FOR HIS OWN INCREASED SEXUAL PLEASURE. At first, I thought he was joking, but he has now repeated his claims. Frankly, I was too embarassed to question him and make myself look really ignorant. So either there is some truth in what he says, or he is a total mindf**k & is making a fool of me?? Which is it?
[Infoburst: Okay, now we are getting somewhere. If this guy had been a vacuum cleaner salesmen the likelihood is that you wouldn't have given a second thought to his boasts but because you are in the thrall of 'expertise' you assume the man is talking fact when, in my judgement, he is simply exaggerating his sexual exploits. It takes YEARS to build up a proper tantric relationship with a partner - it's not something you just DO. Applying tantric principles on one-night-stands may make the sex more intriguing but it will not produce 'more power' or any NAN crap of that kind, hence his opinions on the 'dangers' of sex magic are, as is usual from pretenders and pseudos, a veil used to distance himself from having to substantiate his claims. I think what you are trying to ask is 'If I practice tantric magick is there a danger that I will destroy myself?' The answer is that all people destroy themselves sooner or later for at some time we all must die but sex magic is likely to keep you alive much longer than, say, playing Cricket. BB Denise W.]

12 entries back....someone called Anon said how pleasurable sex magick was but mentioned that he felt an entity was feeding off his energy and he felt it was dangerous etc.....he appears to have been a Priest performing magikcal rights etc at certain times of year etc........and this is what I was refering to in my post...........so, is raising energy in this way, dangerous or not?
I assume tantric sex practices take years of study and training?? and when one has mastered them, one is then an "initiate" or "expert"?? Is this correct?
[luck9, you are getting but you are not giving. I don't want anyone on the forum to answer any of luck9's questions until he tells us why this information is required and why it is so important for him. If he doesn't want to discuss the matter on the forum then he should write to me at denise.wadsworth@sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk

Hi 888,
I didn’t think any of your initial reply was stupid! Lol
I have a hardback copy of Magick (through SA). Crowley is one of the first characters a newbie comes across, so (20 years or so back!), I studied some of his writings, and practised too for a little while, before being led into Satanism. The correspondences put me off (I did have 777 as well as some of Kenneth Grants books).
Just as you say, I appreciate that as Occultists/Seekers we are all looking at the same phenomena (to generalise) from our own perspective.
You may indeed be correct and perhaps there are spirits etc with their own objective existence just as I believe I am a real person. However, speaking of myself: When I think about it, I see no tangible person that exists. Instead I can perceive (when I am not being a mindless automaton) myself more of an illusion comprised of different aspects: body, thoughts, emotions. Thought and emotion are more often imitated than emanate from within me. There is something deeper within me (I AM), but this also is not separate but is a part of something Greater (I speak from experience not book learning). Hence, I can be logically deduced to be 1) not a fixed real person and 2) to be continually changing (food, changes body etc) then this leads to my conclusion that all is energy and nothing really has its own existence, even though you read what I write and others listen to what I say etc.
So, I wonder, if I can see the illusion of my own being, then what is the reality behind spirits etc? ¿
Hopefully this explains my views a little clearer.
At the moment I am more inclined towards Jnana Yoga. Particularly the teachings of Nisargadatta (I AM THAT) I find that it fits well with DL in regards to my own path. Other than this, I am interested further in forms of trance (chant, sex).
Regards
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks Mate! Straight talk, truth, easy to mesh concepts.
Me, I study all paths, I enjoy what I've found in Dark Lilly.
But Thelema is my 'language', I have deep resonances with those Gods.
What, I wonder did you make of the rest of the writing?
I kinda expect you to be whirled around a bit, maybe think;' That's crap, that's stupid, hmm, might be something worth thinking about, truthfully.
Might I ask, any plans for further study? I'm getting into Enochia, can't comment yet, not enough experience. I've been looking at Austin Osman Spare, again. When I first obtained his stuff, I couldn't get much from it. Chaos magick apparently was heavily influenced by him. I flicked through 'The Anathema of Zos'
this morning, WOW, he knew how to explain mans lower nature, making my observations pallid in comparison!
Please, don't consider me feeling offended, I like a proper chat!
Take care Mate,

Hi Babalon,
Thanks for your perspective.
We are of course constantly moving on, even if it doesn't always look like it!
Just as you are a Thelemite, I think I will always have DL teachings as part of me :) Nothing wrong or bad in this, it is my path.
But, so you know now, I have no interest in Thelema to be honest, it just is not where I am or where I know I am going :) No offense to you and your path, if the cap fits etc :)
All the best
Paul

Not sure exactly where to put in my own perspective...
I think that deities, demons, gods et al are in essence energy that my mind 'dresses up' as malevolent or benevolent. When I was working in LHP system, I had energies whirling around my Bedroom/Temple. One night this manifested as a giant spider (this is all astral not physical!). I see this as an example of my mind dressing up a form of energy into a shape that I subconsciously fear.
(My view is based on the Dark Lily system)
