Tantra and sex magick are things I've been curious about for a long time now; but finding comprehensible information about either has been a bit of a challenge for me. A lot of books and websites involving tantric sex are written so "esoterically" as to be practically gibberish (or else they talk about little beyond a variety of sexual positions). Ditto for resources about sex magick.

Is it true that people use sex magick to gather and focus energy on goals, or for healing purposes? Is it true that solo sex can be used for these and similar purposes? Can it involve mystical union with one's concept of Divinity? Are there parallels to ideas of love and mystical union in Sufism and western mystical traditions? Is there any accurate information at all out there as to what ancient "temple prostitution" was really about? For that matter, are there literary or online resources about any or all of these matters, which are written in plain English (or whatever one's vernacular tongue happens to be)? I'm not at all fluent in Sanskrit, after all. Thanks in advance for any tips anyone can suggest...

It would seem that the vicar of Dibley disapproves of Hmmm's saucey hankypanky!

Given the initial question put to the forum, I feel Danny's input was rather on target! If Hmmm is experiencing group sex fantasies, then Danny is showing a correct perspective:even if this is unpopular with the over sensitive and the easily offended!

Let's hope that a decent shag comes out of all of this!

hi all,

In fear of putting my foot well and truely in it! ive loved reading this thread! and just to throw in my worth... i practice sex magic with my partner, and i have had nothing but excellent results from it!{blushing here} the only danger i can percieve with sex magic is that of emotional attachment... meaning that u go through something very personal when having sex (not true for all ppl but true for most) emotions can get tangled up.... when practicing sex magic its even more personal, so my only suggestion would be not to practice it with just anyone when first learning it, cause the fall out may not be what you expect!
