Yes, at these levels, the Ka is independent, a higher state is of being in all parts of the world simultaneously.
From that position one can visit a lodge in California as easily as in your locol town/city, in U.K. To Astrally project, simply Will it, at say, 12 noon, State to youelf that you are going to astrally project that night, let that thought, enhanced by a Ritual of intent, to strengthen proceedings,
roll through the day into the night Aethyr.
Surely it is a matter of pure willed intent, assuming the neccessary prana is available.
When in trance state, try swinging your legs, as if in a swing, you may well rock yourself out, Such adventure!

The Raising of The Citadels in 1996-1997 set off the following:-
Having just got into be in pitch darkness I found myself lying in the local greenbelt on the other side of the River Cole looking up at the starry which were very clear and sharp I could make out the constellation of Taurus the Bull and the Pleidies very clearly and prominently. I stood up presumably in my astral body but it felt very heavy and I felt sick and weak and felt that I should walk up to the hospital but the more I tried to walk to the hospital the heavier and weaker I felt. I then started to spin around and around like a spinning top and emerged through the ceiling of the bedroom that is also used for my magical experiments. The whole room was lit up brilliantly so all could be seen. In the North East of the room there was a faceless figure in a dark Robe but did not feel menacing in any way. I then woke to full consiousness In the Pitch Black Room because the windows had been sealed to exclude the entry of light and realised I had experienced a sponataneous projection.
Other experiences include walking by the River Rea along the back of the bushes in Cannon Hill Park but more favourite and more reoccurant walking down my long back garden at night towards the big trees at the bottom and then having a tremendous struggle trying to walk up and getting back into the house again.
But what do these expereinces have in common?
I think micturation!
They are all places were one is likely to be caught short and urinate!
and when I woke up I did which to go to the bathroom!
TRicking the mind and programming with the need that it must do something at a certain time may be a clue to gaining controll over AP.
As I am above the weight I should be I thought that the struggle with being out of body was due to that but now I think it is trying to move with ones legs rather than ones mind and will and this may be a key to progress in the future.
Also stars: my rising sign is Saggittarius 10 degrees so the stars on the Descendant would be Gemini and under the horizon Taurus hense the stars I saw during my projection were the stars close to the Descendant and I am just thinking that by visualising the constellations around ones decendant one might get a quicker transfer to ones double.
But thinking like an Ancient Egyptian perhaps the ka cannot move far from the body unless a link to the body is provided in some way like blood cells from the micturation process but transfer to the higher level of the ba is necessary for total mobility between the levels and to do this one needs to look upwards to the heavens of the tuat to click to that level.

The reason I said that is because all of those that I know of who are naturals for Astral Projection are almost cadevarically thin. In all fairness I have to say that has only been a few.
Since the time of my last entry have had one spontaneous experience and now I think that the difficulty may be that you still think that you are in your body and try to move with your everyday legs when in actuallity it it the mind and the will you have to work with not the legs in that state!
Obviously you are a natural and have done it since early on. Despite being interested in the occult since the age of twelve I have had more of my fair share of the mirk and mire to cast off and only now in middle life can develop the way I have always wanted.

Well...I've had periods of frequent lucid dreaming, followed by long dry spells. I haven't done it in a while; and haven't really found any good way to "induce" it. Different methods work for different people, I guess; for me, either it happens or it doesn't. My first lucid dreams, however, occurred shortly after I moved to Seattle after living in Phoenix for a year. So maybe what I need is a significant change in climate, or something (LOL)...

Marabas says Simplify, Simplify, Simplify. Why don't you do what Salvador Dali used to do to get those amazing images of his from the Astral? He clutched a coin in his hand, laid down and just as he dropped off to sleep his hand would relax and he would drop the coin, the dropping coin alerted him just sufficiently for him to regain lucid dreaming consciousness and give control over his visions. Some people put the coins on their eyes and when they enter REM sleep they fall off in the same way. Try it - I did when M told me about it and it works a treat. BB Denise W.

One very useful technique that I have discovered by accident for using a lucid dream as a starting point for attempting astral/etheric projection is to select an object in your lucid dream environment (e.g., if this is a bedroom scene then it can be any suitable small object) and then imagine that it is being slowly pulled towards you as if by an invisible string. The mere act of imagining this will of course have the effect of moving the (astral) object in that way. Only apparent motion takes place in an astral environment as the scene shifts itself to accomodate a RELATIVE motion between the object and your own position in the lucid dream, and the force of imagination expended and the currents set in motion sets up stresses which have their effect on your astral/etheric envelope. This method has the added advantage in that fear, tension and other psychological factors will not be present as impediments as would normally be the case if one were attempting to rise out of the physical by any direct means. I have tried this myself and I swear that it has a powerful effect in drawing the astral/etheric further out of alignement with the physical.

Hey hey! Is this why fat people are being charged double for their plane tickets? It is interesting that you say that fatties are no good at AP; they could try bouncing like yogic flyer's or try flapping their bingo wings!! Well I don't know if there are any truths in these assertions but I think that you are right when you say about thin people having better luck at it. I am by no means overweight but when I was just a thin boy, AP was a little easier: but I think I was more light headed and far more sensitive and dizzy. Most systems of yoga advocate that we aim to be on the lighter side but that does not necessarily mean thin.
Conversely and speaking personally, I have noticed that my will strengthened as I put on a little weight as well as my ability to study.

From my own experience with the Aurum Solis System of Magic that I experimented with during 1996 and 1997 regular practice or an excersise like Raising of The Citadels along with the banishing rituals will tend to after some regular practice cause spontaneous OOBES but curiously, for some reason very thin or underweight people appear to be the best at it. Heaviness seems to impede progress in that arena.
