Hmmn, You don't want to know what Marabas thinks of Reiki Masters, Karen. The idea of anyone becoming the 'master' of an esoteric technique in a weekend's course is ultimate NAN and relies on the educational indoctrination of the modern mind to rely upon specialists with degrees and diplomas instead of their own intuition. Marabas says that the Reiki Industry is a pestilence amongst genuine occultism. The application of the ancient method of Taoist Heaven and Earth palm healing which Reiki is a very pale reflection of can take a practitioner YEARS to develop and depends not only on where the hands go but also on the power and state of Chi in the practitioners own body. Not to mention his/her years of esoteric knowledge and wisdom. To wrap all this up in a weekend Reiki course is like giving a diploma for Neuro-surgery to someone who has just finished a woodwork course It is a danger because it greatly misleads newcomers like yourself into thinking play-acting laying on hands is the same as actual heaven and earth palm - which it is not. As Heaven and Earth palm does work and everyone has the capacity to do it by degree results can be obtained but to then put these people out as Reiki 'Masters' is just an insult to genuine initiates. Actually we once sent a standard airmail parcel to a client on the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. and it got to him in THREE days! Yes you can pay thru the nose for courier but they often take four or five days as well so best leave it to the gods eh?]

[DENISE: People who get it wrong or are talking NAN (New Age Nonsense) on this forum will be told so. This isn't a personal thing - we all get it wrong sometimes and it's important to keep the standards up. Getting something wrong doesn't mean everything you believe becomes defunct just the bit that was taken to task. Swallow it and learn. Everyone is welcome under these rules and no harm done.
