	Hi Mike I had a very interesting/insightful experience from a Fourth Way technique known as Self-Remembering. This was about 10 or more years ago now. I was at work (in an office) and had been practicing Self-Remembering as much as possible around this time. Then one morning, spontaneously my sense of myself suddenly altered dramatically. It felt as though a cloud that had been covering my Self (Atman/Observer/I AM Experience) had dropped away, or that I had been lifted up out of this cloud. I experienced a very spacious feeling of freedom and light. Then, as quickly as it had arisen, I was back in the cloud of personality and it was gone. I have not had another experience akin to this, but have not been practising Self-Remembering as much as I did then. I tried to relate it to other teachings and I think the experience was possibly akin to the Buddhist Rigpa and may also relate to the Christian Mystic Soaring of the Spirit (I forget who talked of that). As is often the case in describing these experiences, words will never ever be able to do it justice and this looks like it may be too late for your dissertation, but if not, you are welcome to use it, if it is of any use. 	Hi! Is anyone out there willing to help with some research I'm doing for my MA dissertation? I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has been involved with Theosophy, Fourth Way or Golden Dawn style groups. What I'm after are short written accounts of spiritual or occult experiences, and the outcome of the experience, that occultists have had. I don't want to be too specific as there is a lot of variation in how people understand the terms 'spiritual' and 'occult'. People typically write about experiences which could be labelled psychic, spiritual, religious, supernatural, paranormal, or mystical. Such experiences may be pleasant or unpleasant and the outcomes good or bad. The only other information I would need is the experiencer's gender and whether they were a member or ex-member of the group. Cheers! Mike
