Not a mistake, posting on Temple of Set, a clue, perhaps. There are no coincidences, to my mind, only cause & effect.

Oh, my, sounds like your psychic shield may have been disturbed to some degree; especially if you undertook your spiritual exercises with any degree of fear or anxiety. I don't know of any good advice to give, but I had a paranormal experience once that left me very psychically open, and gave me the feeling of swinging from side to side in and out of my body. Fortunately, a friend of mine (also my first shamanism teacher) gave me directions for an upper-world journey (based on Jack and the Beanstalk, of all things); and it worked in getting my psychic shield realigned. I'm still a bit more sensitive than I was before, but the healing worked, in any case. I don't know if this is what you need or not; but I recommend a good professional consultation with a specialist in psychic defense issues and possibly soul retrieval. I am definitely onto something and have taken your
advice. Also having some increased experiences in
lucid dreams, meeting personalities in dreams, etc.
PS. I posted this on the 'Temple of Set'

Hi William,
You seem to have overlooked 'Opening The Temple.'
Observe, if you will, that all esoteric Ritual, be it Wiccian, Thelemite or wot-not,begins with a banishing; a purification and consecration. You make no mention of casting a circle of any form.
I do imagine that You have been fortunate, that you have only, disturbed an entity's habitat.
Fortune also smiles on You, in that Frater Marabus supplies
'quickie spells' that should alleviate your discomfort.
If you explain your situation to The S.A, they will supply you
with the appropriate knowledge.
A clear idea of path would help, E.G. Qabala or Wicca? A clear
statement of intent, : invoking a specific God is also a good
idea for the beginner to contemplate.
All beginners, will hear voices, if you do well, you will experience full manifestation of entities, as you intend; to communicate telepathically during Ritual is normal, as I percieve it. To have no control over the situation is, probably the plight
of the psychotic.
To any beginners out there, it is wise to prepare yourselves with the formalities of ritual, and prepare to work hard.
Aside from this 'false start', William, you seem to be achieving a degree of success. S.A. supply a vast range of knowledge, enjoy the

Recently I have been trying to seek a God. I have often went to a quiet place and meditated and prayed for my God/s to reveal themselves to me. I have looked up various Gods of different pantheons that I feel some affinity with. I also try and get a feeling of closeness to the 'divine'through running and hard exercise which I find is good for overcoming the ego, and having
nice countryside all around.
The past few weeks I've had some weird experiences, a lightness and faint-feeling where I feel half-out of body, and the past few days I feel as though there is an almost electric energy field around me which is sometimes so strong the skin of my scalp tightens up and I get shivers down my neck and a queezy, dizzy feeling. I recently went to a secluded dark room to try and meditate to open my mind to this 'force' but it felt so overwhelming like I had a voice in my head saying 'get out !' I was really scared. I feel as though someone or something is trying to speak to me, maybe not in actual words, but communicate on some level, but the signal is not coming through properly. Does this make sense to anyone ? I'm not a paranoid schizophrenic or at least I don't think so !

Greetings, in agreement here too, I know Set as a God within a formula of Gods; to seperate Set, therefore N.O.X, as well, one might as well go straight to la veys work. Personally, I've tried some la vey ritual, and found it as useful to me as Set without Horus; not my path, different strokes for different folks, Denise talks clear sense. Hope this makes sense to some!

The ToS are so paranoic they will probably think that we have started this thread as some kind of double-think but I can assure them that it is genuine. As far as I am aware the T.O.S. are still being harried by Satan Hunter evangelists (Aquino apparently recently tried to bring one detractor, who had electronically stalked him, to court - and failed) but we don't have any contact with them at all. If anyone asks we usually direct people who want to know about genuine satanism to Anton LaVey's Church of Satan where bugger is something they say when they stub their toes! BB Denise W.
