James,
Have you read A.E.Waite's Pictorial Key to the Tarot ?
Also, not the Waite deck, but the best book on Tarot
but very deep is Crowley's Book of Thoth.

David.

[Infoburst: Hi David, The Pictorial Key to the Tarot is simply The Key To The Tarot with pictures of the cards - hardly necessary if you have the pack. I agree with you that Crowley's Thoth Book is an EXCELLENT initiated exposition of the magicians tarot pack

(you can order it from here ) http://www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/booklist.htm
but does not fit with the Rider Tarot Deck as some of the trumps are transposed. Additionally Crowley and Waite disliked each other intensley and represeented the New and Old Aeon approaches respectively. BB Denise W.

Dear SA,
I have a pack of Rider-Waite Tarot cards and

Marabas's Quatro Tarot OEXP
and was looking at your Tarot starter pack advertisement...can you tell me if a book is
with the pack and which book it is if it can be ordered separately ?, otherwise,
which is the best book especially for the Rider-Waite Tarot ?

Thank you,
James.

[INFOBURST: Hi James, It used to be - Key To The Tarot was written by Arthur Edward Waite specifically to act as an introduction to his cards but it is temporarily out of print - we should have more stocks late summer - you can check this by looking at our A-Z booklist www.sorcerers-apprentice.co.uk/booklist.htm from time to time. There are plenty of other books with supplemental information on the Rider Pack, in particular those by E.Connolly. The Thoth Pack is completely different (Some Major Arcana cards are switched) in symbolism and intent to the Waite Pack. You will learn a LOT about both magick and tarot by reading Crowley's Book of Thoth (use booklist link above) but not about the Rider Waite pack. BB Denise W.
