I'd heard this was because, at the time the figure was worked out, they hadn't realised the function of glial (sp?) cells, and had previously thought them to be essentially, shock absorbers.

In fact most of our brain power is taken by our sight, the Human race has the highest spectrum of colours, than any other living creature.
I think it was said by a scientist that it takes 60%-70% of our brain power to process all that information.
If you think on it, most computer games will take most of the computers memory to process all graphics in the game.
You must remember our brains are like computers, just think of all the programmes running in your head right now.
Your brain is running all your internal organs, remembering thing you have to do at other times in the day and weeks a head, and other skills you process, like reading, spelling and driving are but a few.

I remember what an old fool said? The next thing to a genius is madness.
Our minds can only take so much information before it breaks down, technically a nervous breakdown, if you look most people who consider themselves to be geniuses, some will have some sort of mental illness, in thier life.
A mental illness can take a very long time to get over, and when you do get over it, part of the illness never leaves you.
I know I been their, it took 14 years of my life, even though I got over it, its presents is still their till the day I die.

Don`t mess with your brain, if you lose your sanity, technically you lose your life.

A rumor thats done the rounds for the last few decades is we only use 10% of our brain power. Robert Anton Wilson added the word potential in front of brain power to break it open sum but i still find the idea fenced in. Would anyone like to throw in there 2 cents?
