In the interests of free speech this Forum is not moderated (though jerks and agent provocateurs can be blocked as soon as detected so please behave honourably or you may lose your access to it). In an attempt to keep the forum 'clean' threads not directly bearing on the esoteric may be deleted (e.g.- there are plenty of forums on the web for dating etc.),

CONFIDENTIALITY: To preserve your confidentiality do not under any circumstances include your full name, your telephone number, your street addresses or any other personal ID in your messages. This saves you having to log in daily to see if your message gets any replies.

"It's amazing isn't it, the first time you find yourself standing outside your personality watching yourself go through the usual games and ego strategies whilst you look on with complete detachment?

Just don't tell your doctor. "

Yeah, based on my experiences with my doctors, they would have no understanding of this other than to label us as schizophrenics!

Magick has shown me I am on my own, but never have i felt closer to whats around me. Watching the workings of my mind, and exepting my mind is not me, is work in progress, but has so far yielded much Wisdom. Im just entering my first relationship since i stared Magick and we both feel the benifits of maturity that Wisdom brings.
Im not going to tar all the doctors with their wonky Caduceus, Doctor Nick in the Simpsons is 1 of my Heros.

[Infoburst: Well you are on your own and you are not on your own depending on which end of the telescope you are looking into! Marabas teaches that ultimately (cosmically) we are all one - which is why magic is morally self-correcting. We may see the universe through our own peculiar perspectives but the true Illumination comes when we realise what The Brotherood actually means. Moving outside oneself is the first stage in dislocating the ego-self - and how tardy and small-minded do the preoccupations of Life then seem? BB Denise W.]

I started out on my occult journey seeking power, sex, wealth etc. That is probably why I gravitated towards the LHP. It may have took me some time, but I have some of these things (not necessarily through conjuring spirits/energy etc)!

BUT, as I learnt and progressed, the occult for me became a hell of a lot more than power, sex, wealth etc, it opened my mind to new perspectives and a greater understanding of myself, others and the Cosmos.
This is a very interesting forum and there are lots of different points of view. I just figured, maybe a post on wisdom, insights and change of mind might be of use.
Some of my direct experiences have been: Seeing and experiencing All is One; experiencing myself outside of my personality; seperation from thoughts and emotions (as if they are my internal weather); stepping outside of societal conditioning and starting to think for myself.

These don't sound like much, but there is a lot to these experiences and, to my mind, this is really the essence of a spiritual path - to break out of constraints by changing yourself and becoming conscious of the unity of All.
Anyone have any insight to share?

[Well said Paul. Marabas teaches that the gods will lead each person to their destiny in many and various ways - none is more nor less valid than any other and often the route is diverse as each person must 'round-out' and become whole before they can begin to move ahead. Frequently people's early transit of the esoteric arts is, in the most positive sense, paradoxical as we continually grow into new perspectives and knowledge whose importance to our nature we were previously unaware. This is wisdom. When newcomers begin to tread their chosen path with the S.A. it becomes clear to them that Marabas's real work reaches far beyond simply buying and selling things - it provides a path to personal salvation which tens of thousands of good people have successfully trodden before them.
