The World's Tragedy, available at the following link
with some extracts below quoting the 'Holy Trinity'
for those with an interest in why Crowley was so
anti Christian read the preface which explains his
religious upbringing and having to still tolerate
'Cold boiled Jesus' into adulthood.
Hope this will be reprinted again soon...John

THE VULTURE:
Yaugh Waugh!
Butch! this is terrible
That all these people should be happy -- Pss! --
Without a thought of Me!
Ga! Ga! the plague
Rot them in hell!
Cramp! Ague! Pox! Gout! Stone -- Hoo!
What shall I do to stop it?
It's sin -- sin -- sin. I hate them. Oog!
I want them to go groaning
Over imaginary ills
With white eyes twisted up to Me,
Where I sit and croak
And snarl! Ugh! Faugh!
I'm Yaugh Waugh!
I'm Yaugh Waugh!

Ga! Oa! Hoo! Hoo!
Scratch!
I must invent a plan
To ruin all this gladness.
Ha! Plup! I have it.
There's nothing here
That would accept my favours --

Uck! Bulch! --
So I'll abuse myself to chaos
And see what comes of it.
Ha -- Ba! Ha -- Ba!
Ab -- ab -- ab --ab -- ab!
Utch -- what is this?
Coagulated yolk of the addled egg
Of chaos! Hatch it out!
That's why I AM. Hoo -- hoo -- hoo -- hoo -- hoo!
Oh! -- now the white of the old egg is curled
Into a ragged fleece.
Ga! Ga! I've got a son:
What will it be?
O heaven -- a lamb!
I'm Yaugh Waugh, Yaugh Waugh.
I'll call it Yaugh Shaugh Waugh.
Good! Can you talk,
First born? -- I'll never have another,
I'm Yaugh Waugh, Yaugh Waugh.
Bow to me, you lumpy lambkin!
Haw! Haw! Haw!
Now at last a wooden thing
That will do my business for me.
Uck! Uck! The morning's carrion
Bubbles in my paunch.
I am belching dreadfully.
What? Uck? Uck? How strange!
For the windy vomit of me
Shapes itself into a sorry
And bedraggled pigeon.
Birdie, have you got religion?
Yes, he bows most properly.
Come then, let us take our counsel
How to stop this sad behaviour,
This gross impropriety,
Irreligion -- Uck! it's awful.
Squat, then! Pigeon, you're the youngest:
You speak first.

THE DOVE:
Almighty father!
I have magnificent
And sublime and noble scheme.
Listen! I will find a woman --

THE VULTURE:
Oh! you dirty-minded rascal!

THE DOVE:
Wait a moment -- I will do it.
Find a virgin -- if I can,
And on her beget this lambkin
In the image of a man.

THE VULTURE:
That seems complicated, pigeon.
We've the lamb begotten here.

THE DOVE:
Yes, I know; it seems absurd;
But in practice I am certain
It will work out splendidly.

THE VULTURE:
Well, proceed!

THE DOVE:
Of course I will;
I'm accustomed to "proceeding."
Let the lamb grow up to manhood
Then we'll have him whipped and tortured
And eventually killed.

THE VULTURE:
That sounds lovely.

THE LAMB:
Do you think so??
I record my vote against it.

THE DOVE:
Stupid! in a day or so
We will have you rise again.

THE LAMB:
Really! I may be a dullard;
But I cannot see the point
Of this most elaborate nonsense.

THE DOVE:
Well, you will. We'll make a rule
That anyone who disbelieves it
Shall be strictly prosecuted
-- With the utmost rigour
Of the majesty of law.
THE LAMB:
And if any fool believes it --

THE DOVE:
He shall come to live with Us.
What a privilege!

THE VULTURE:
Provided
He observe propriety,
Never laugh, never dance,
Never do the dreadful thing!

THE DOVE
Precisely so!

Endor Macata as you see I have feeling a lot better now and how on earth am I protect myself from people who dont read things properly not once had I said he was evil he is never portrayed as evil in eith of these novels I read or in the Scarifiers. In this show he tends to be a nice quiet eccentric person who helps the good guys fight the bad.I have been a witch for more years than I can remember with a special protecting from the wizard Mazkuth who I knew very well.If I keep on being attacked for trying to help and probably because Im elderly I will resign from this forum with great reluctance Having connected with Denise and others who are very knowledgable

There are plenty of books re Mr.Crowley the fact he was a free mason is well,in my library (very small) they have a new book about him but the bigger libraries are better for selection I do have his Magick Book and read a biography about him he is a very interesting man because no one knows the truth about him History tends to go round corcers for instance Richard 1 LionHeart hero and all round good egg was never in this Country so poor old Robin Hood never got his pardon. This is a light comparison about a man who revelled in being called Evil, if he hadnt done so perhaps he would have faded away like many of the Golden Dawn names of the day. Now please dont write to say Im against him just trying to put it into its text For all of that he is a really interesting man.

Sorry Anne if my comunication is poor, Im teaching myselves to write (not always with success). My comments were directed at the title of this thread not any one post in particualer. My point, which i'm sure you'll agree is, just because someones charicter may not gel with our own does not in any way discredit there work. Jim Morrison springs to mind! But also i point towards the possability that Crowleys charicter can not be pinned down on account of him being a Magician.

I was critising Aleister Crowley but just pointing out how his name is always popping up in literature. These two books were pure fiction based on actual people who had lived.
I have read all his work. and have his Grimoires on tape so how can I not be a believer in what he states.Have never denied this if you took the trouble to read further down you would see I mentioned he was in the Scarifiers as a help to Professor Dunning.A novel of fiction again The are good books to read perhaps for escapism Also I have never claimed that he was evil

I met a Feminist once who hated Einstien because she says "he was a bastard womaniser", but she wasnt arrogant enough to dissmiss E=MC2!!! Seriously now.. judge him for yourself on his many styles of works and not the relative position of someone elses experiences.

No definitely not! There has been so much evil lies said about Crowley! The Great Beast was inspired by the Book of Revelation but he knew of course that there was much in organized religion which enslaves people the devil was invented by the priests to create fear in the minds of people so that they could be more readily controlled by the temporal power of the priests in effect sqashing all the magical potential out of them like flies splattered on a window. (If a spirit tells you its the devil suspect it might be the evil spirit of a dead priest). Aleister Crowley is one of the greatest adepts and it is best to regard the Great Beast as a Lion of Light (remember his horoscope has Uranus in Leo in the first house) as thus he is a liberator of the souls through his magical teachings. Years ago I got the Thoth Tarot along with the book of Thoth it is very advanced and requires in depth knowledge of the Kabbalah in the Western Esoteric Tradition and the inner meaning ot Thelemite Jargon which is easily misiterpreted by the shortsighed in a negative light. To get a clear understanding of Thelema Jargon I can highly recommend a marvelous book by Lon Milo DuQuette Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot in conjunction with reading the Book of Thoth. Read Crowley's Poem One Star In Sight that should make evident what Crowley was really about. Also the secrets of Mind Control form SA willdo much to throw of the final shackles of our indoctrination and make our problems with the establisment very clear and Oexp 63 for SA. People should grow up it would be nice not to see any mor crap vilifying Crowley's name. As years go on his greatness will become even more evident.

Up he rears again in two books I have read recently in the 1st he is very apparent alongside the author and perhaps Satanist Dennis Wheatley who knows I have long wished to ask my Aunt as she worked with him in the War but I know the reply I would most probably get so will not take a chance anyway he is very involved in the first story and is indeed quite magical.
The books are by F G Cottam
1st book The House of Lost Souls

2nd book I peronally preferred Dark Echo about a haunted ship very scary and utterly brilliant. If you read them at all let me know what you think.
See you all well and thriving in the New Year
Many Blessings.

Hannah no its not really a tree but its a way to describe it
If you manage to imagine a flat piece of line which dips down into a form of ditch and then up again until flat again

Much like a valley perhaps thats a bit better description of

1st grief bereavement down into depression anger then acceptance
Ive probably confuse you more but as my family always say thats the one thing Im really good at
Take Care Dear and Blessings
