I never expected to move away from Chicago. It took me many years to get over it. People from the midwest are more apt to make friends and maintain friendships for many years. The members of our cross-country team have been maintaining e-mail contact, and several of them (e.g., Omar Hernandez and Marty Golub) will be at their class's NE reunion this Saturday. I have made several friends in LA but most move away before any real depth gets formed (e.g., an exception, my wife and I have very good friends who now moved to Australia). That's the way it tends to be here.
Well folks, I am now working out 3 days a week hard, for 18 months now, but I only lost 8 pounds. I am trying to stay alive for the next reunion.
To Brad and Hillary, I hope the wedding was wonderful and that you bring joy to each other.
