With the 40th anniversary of JFK's assasination, I couldn't help but remember that day on the playground at Cleveland School (gone but still the best. I believe I learned the news from my teacher, who came out of the school with tears. How the playground came to a eerie hushed quiet as the word passed. How catestrophic the news was, even to us 3rd graders. And I remember being home and watching Lee Harvey Oswald be killed on live television and several days later being home, no school, to watch the funeral. It is such a vivid memory, amongst much murkier memories, it couldn't possibly be 40 years ago.
A happier note, the reunion fun, lovely to see everyone, we all looked pretty good for being this old. And by the way, my HUSBAND Kim and I are having so much fun with the messages we have been getting about our "partnership".
