Two of the passages in the Bible that you quoted with regards to homosexuality are ones that I already quoted. You said that you could provide 60 or 600--I find it laughable that of the *4* that you provided, 2 are ones that I already mentioned. You don't need to type in the entire passage, just the book, chapter, and verse-you shouldn't run into the issue of exceeding the character limit and hey, if you do, just continue in another message. Your reference to Genesis, that was mentioned on the web site that I listed in my message and like I said, DOES NOT explicitly say that homosexuality is wrong--it's about gang rape. Your reference to Judges, again refers to gang rape and DOES NOT explicitly say that homosexuality is wrong. Again, I am requesting you to provide the "60 or 600" passages that condemn homosexuality. I also asked you if you follow EVER rule stated in Leviticus. If you don't, then that makes you a hypocrite for applying some (the homosexuality issue) but not all (the eating of pork, etc. and wearing clothes made of more than one fiber, among other things). If you're going to try and apply EVERYTHING that the Bible says to today's society, you cannot pick and choose (and you still haven't address what I said about the chopping off a thief's hand or cutting out a liar's tongue and how that doesn't apply to modern society). More than once now you've failed to address the valid points I've made. Why?

ok, ok, but if i get ranty im sorry. =] i agree with Jayline, grey is one of my favorite colors too, and people who only believe in the black and white of the bible, obviously don't understand what it is really saying because when it comes down to it all, its the grey that matters. does it not say in the bible to love EVERYONE equally?! and not to discriminate. im a lesbian. and i love God with all of my heart, and i belive in him, and i pray to him, and i LOVE him. yet some people belive i cant go to heaven. but i believe it is those that refuse to love, that choose hate instead of love that will be the ones that wont. because i believe that if you LOVE God, and you Believe in him with your whole self, that there is no way that he can deny you heaven. God wants us to LOVE him, and Pray to him, and tell others about Him, and i know i have days where i dont quite meet the Christian standards, but dont we all?! i mean, you cant be a good person all the time, because we all have our faults and our differences. no one is the same because God made us differently! so im sorry if i offended you by saying i dont believe in the same God you have described, but i believe in the one who loves, who cares, and is ultimately our savior. He is the one who taught us to love, and He is the one who made me how i am, so our you saying he has made a mistake? Because God dosent make mistakes. period. He is perfect. He is the Almighty Father. and He is right. thats all for now... (i told you i get ranty!!! =] )

Scientific studies run by glbt "scientists".
Jesus Christ was sent to his people "the Jews" and His mission was to "turn the hearts of the fathers to the sons and visa versa". Why would he address the non-problem of homosexuality in Israel! The whole nation were in man-woman unions.
To take the bible literally is give yourself a solid anchor for truth and eternity. It is all about love of the Creator for us and because He first loved me ... I now love him and all His creation no matter their assumed orientation.

I like gray ... it is one of my favorite colors. Did you know that when computers looked at colors they found that black and white both contain all the colors of the spectrum but in different ways.
I am an evangelistic type because I believe in the Creator. I believe that He chose to reveal Himself to us as a "He" but certainly not limited to the masculine. I believe that one can see His Word in the Creation but that the Hebrews wrote it down best. All of us bask in His grace on this one of a kind planet in a universe filled with wonders. I feel comfortable with people who speak their mind...who search for truth. My dear daddy said "I may be stupid but I am not dumb!" Jump right in Kaci!!! Stamp your verbal foot ... Shout your opinion from the ciberspace rooftop.

Genesis 19:4-8
They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them." Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing. Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don't do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof."

Leviticus 18:22
"'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

Leviticus 20:13
"'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

Judges 19:22-23
While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, "Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him." The owner of the house went outside and said to them, "No, my friends, don't be so vile. Since this man is my guest, don't do this disgraceful thing.

I tried to post several more but the red letters said I am limited to 200 characters while the ble line below this box says 2000 characters.

Kaci, please share your thoughts. You won't look stupid for stating your opinion. What's stupid is to blindly accept the rhetoric coming from the evangelistic types without questioning and forming opinions on your own and understanding why you believe in what you do (not that I think you'd do that:-) The Christian "right" doesn't feel comfortable when people do that because they prefer the black and white of all of it, when it's the gray that makes the world a better place.

You've talked much about fabrication. You said in one of your posts, "Search the bible for yourself...and why do you care...if there is no God." Where did I say or imply anywhere that I do not believe in God? People like you often say, "I believe in the Bible." I say, "I believe in God." Clearly there is a difference and in case it's not clear to you, and I'm thinking that's a good possibility given your apparent inability to address the points I've made, the Bible was written by people. Let's face facts--people decided which books were and were not included in the Bible. God is bigger than the Bible and is beyond description but the message about God being about love and compassion--that's what it's about. Just think about how much better this world would be if people treated each other with more love and compassion.

With regards to what scientists have discovered about biological differences in gays and straights--how can you dispute scientific fact? Are you the type to dispute the causes for diseases like skin cancer (too much sun)? Are you a scientist with scientific data to contradict what research has shown? Do you trust what science discovers in areas you "approve" of but since you don't "approve" of homosexuality, scientists cannot be correct?

While we're on the subject on the 6 phrases, upon doing some more research, I apparently misspoke when I said 6 as I learned there are only *3* that clearly condemn homosexuality (Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:26-27). Now with regards to Leviticus, that book also says that eating pork, clams, shrimp, and oysters is a sin, along with wearing clothes made of more than one type of fiber. Now, if you're using going to use Leviticus to condemn homosexuality, then you had best not be eating pork, clams, shrimp and oysters and to make sure your clothing is made of only one type of fiber (and that's just some of the ridiculous things mentioned in Leviticus but to people like you, it's all ridiculous except for the homosexuality part). Please take a look at http://www.e-sites.net/openarms/scripture.html for some further insight. And while you're at it, please provide more examples than what is mentioned on that web site. You said you could provide 60 or 600--well, put up or shut up. Tell me what they are.

I noticed how you avoided addressing my points about how we, as a modern society when compared to the time when the Bible was written, have since realized that things like slavery and the chopping off the hand that steals or cutting out the tongue that lies are wrong. Instead you go off on how we're slaves in a corporate world INSTEAD of addressing my point about how we realized such things are WRONG for modern society. Do we cut people's tongues out who lie? Chop the hands off of thieves like the Bible suggests? NO!!!!! So again, I ask you, and please read my comments for comprehension this time, wouldn't you agree that the 6 phrases in the Bible with regards to homosexuality, given the fact that there was no such word for homosexuality in the original language that the Bible was written, given the fact that the Bible was passed along verbally for centuries, given the fact that stuff could have been lost in translation to English, along with being lost when passed verbally, that those 6 phrases could be off based?
