I think heterosexual people have specific types of people they look for just like anyone else. I don't really classify myself but if I were to describe myself, I wear makeup but wear mostly mens shirts and jeans. I am not at all prissy in any way. I have been known to wear a dress on occasion...years ago. I came out late in life so I was raised as a heterosexual woman who was suppose to fall in love with a good man and get married and have children. However, when I got married, I knew it was wrong. I have a daughter that I would not change anything for. She is great! I have found that I like women that are similar to me and yet more towards the femme side. I work with a lot of women and listen to their "idea man" and each of them are different. So yes, everyone has a different type that they look for in a person to be with.

Yes I do think that hetero. women and men do have a type...I am "in the lesbian scene" thought of as Femme "or Lipstick" allthough I do not wear lipstick.. and I am in no way attracted to women that look like me..Femme. I love the butch type. I think there is just something sexy about butch women....Not so butch that they look like men...My sister likes the rugged cowboy type men...My daughter likes the softer preppy type and would never look at a cowboy...

You probably figured that I'd be one of the first ones to respond:-) I think everyone--male, female, gay, straight has a "type." For me, personally, the whole butch-femme thing isn't a factor when it comes to my "type." I've seen in my own family--my one brother has been married to 2 blondes--both who like a "strong, rescuer" type of a man (not saying that my brother is but he likes to think that he is). My other brother has been with the same kind of women. Now my sister is the hardest to figure out because she was with a guy treated her like crap (IMO) for several years and then dated several guys like that before marrying my brother-in-law--who is totally awesome and treats her great.

Lesbian women are known for having a "type", if you will. Lipstick, butch, soft-butch, etc., do you think the same is true for heterosexual women as well?
