AV Gas is totally SCCA legal, if you use those rules. The problem for those of us who are in the shadow of what was the twin towers, its very hard to get access to local airports anymore. There is no advantage to it over Sunoco 110 leaded with the exception of it being cheaper and very consistant quality wise.

Pump gas, pump gas, pump gas. I've used it in a pinch before fuel rules and couldn't tell the differnce. There may actually be some advantage as it is oxygenated. Or...go with VP Racing C44, that suff is the bomb!

At most events we've run, track pumps have not been open. Even if they were sometimes they are not convient to use. We don't have a quad to help in hauling this stuff around and sometimes there is no time. Also, I can be lazy, I like to be able to have everyting I need in the trailer. I also hate having to keep tabs of cash, credit card, etc track weekends.

93 Octane pump gas is always an option and we may go that route, however it was worth putting the question out there to see if anyone has access to the more consistant AVGAS, typicially around the same price.

For this season probbaly makes no differance performance-wise, but we want to standardize on something long-term.

In my FF, when properly tuned, there was a differance in low end response on the 105 fuel. We just don't want to with kill sessions by having to re-tune (EGT & Plug Cuts) all over again next year when we may be looking for that responsiveness next year (Hopefully).

Counting down, 15 hours.... till we haed out to pick up our baskets or parts.

Why not just run pump gas or the Sunoco that is trackside. I'd say just run premium pump gas.

Does anyone have access to AVGas? I've not had good luck in getting this stuff.

If someone has a source I'd be willing to provide proper 5 gallon containers and allow a person make a couple extra bucks.

We'd probably be looking for 40 Gallons or so to start the season.

I have a spource for VP red Leaded 105 (WHat I ran last year) but at $7 per gallon, a bit pricy and also overkill for our low compression motors.
