Nice racing with you all... Not the best of weekends for us, but still no place I'd rather be.

At this point we are officialy "Semi-Retired". However, once we put Rudolph back together, don't be surprised if we don't sneak her out for a Cameo appearance at some point during the 2008 season. Can't hang up the helmet after such a non-typicial performance, we can do much better.

Happy Off Season to my FPR Friends...

Regards,
Ambrose

Steve -- Lindsey can probably best answer these questiosn for you or you can post on www.emraracing.org and Rob will respond.

From my experiance, if yor car has not been teched by EMRA this year, bring your car, logbook, helmet, suit & arm restraints to the tech line. It is a quick painless process. They wil give the car a quick once over. Make sure fire bottle is charges and belts and helmet is current. You'll and you get stamped on the logbook and a sticker for the roll bar. If you have already been EMRA teched, then just bring logbook and helmet to the front of the line.

Make sure you have arm restraints for this event... you won't be going out without them.

Yes if you reggied on line, you still have to go to registration. You'll sign waiver, they will confirm payment, you'll get a schedule and they'll mark you off as being in attandance. They will probably want to confirm your transponder # too. If you have an EMRA FPR Licience bring it too...

If possible, try to paddoack near Lindsey't trailer... "Speedline Racing"

Other then the race, I never seen them use pace laps. They will tell you at the drivers meeting.

I signed up for the race online, so do I have to register, and go to tech? Is tech open friday, where?,and what do I need to take (logbook, helmet with SCCA tech sticker etc.)
do we take pace laps before each session?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm not used to the FPR schedule. I'll be arriving Friday night around 6:00.

I got an answer to my question on the EMRA web site. We can get into the Summit Point track after 6:00 on Friday afternoon. Before that the track is being used by someone else.

O.K., they did repave over the concrete, but I heard the track was great, and it's 1-2 seconds faster

My Dad, mom, and I (this is Steve's son) and my grandparents are staying at Knights Inn, by the Mountan View diner, which is really good food, and service.

On a thread I saw on ITforums.com, it sounds like the whole track was done (and paved over the old concrete patches).. the comments were generally good, with most people going 1-2 seconds faster than there previous best times. MOst notably was t1 being a lot smoother (and faster), t-3 being faster, but there was some comments about t8 being a little unnerving at the crest of the road (middle).
Dont think I am coming, tow vehicle and trailer were traded in for new digs earlier this week, New digs are 12 weeks out...

In the pics I saw, I did not see any grinding machines, so I don't know how it impacts the concrete.

DId they repave over the concrete in the carousel? I'm sure it's going to be a ton faster. The track would be one of the top tracks on the East if the owner put some more $$$ into it, like grandstands, and more spectator facilities and all that good stuff.
Can't wait to get out there with you guys. see you all there

This is a great track. Apparantly it is now better as some portions of it have been repaved recently and some fill has been added to track edge.

Like Lindsey, I'm looking forward to attanding this event. "Rudolph" is on the loaded up and ready to go.

This track alwasy provides great racing... Everyone should try to make it out for one lst fling, as it will be 6 months before most of us can race again.

Our last race weekend of the 2007 season is Summit Point on Nov.17-18. If you've never been there it is one of the top tracks on the east coast. If you have then you know you have to come back.
Lets try to make the last race weekend a big one.
