Keith at Averill did a full rebuild on my Hewland, at price lower and with quicker turn around then Taylor or Elite quoted. He fixed quite a few issues introduced with previous Local Rebuild.

I have a classic Hewland D9 gearbox that is in need of technical help.Formula Ford (Club Ford) The last race of 2009 at Watkins Glen (Fun One) I broke 4th gear: Split in half and fell off the shaft and bounced around inside the case. Finnished the race with 3rd gear. I dont want to just replace $800.00 worh of gears without knowing if there are other problems that caused the failure. I need to find some help with this without blowing the 2009 racing budget.
