Hi--saw your posting. I don't having anything to do with Jackson High, but I have may be accepting a timeshare exchange April '06 at Le Manoir des Deux amants in Connelles. I would be very interested in your experience, which might help my husband and I in our planning. Thanks!

Hi! Alice. I´ve been having trouble with my computer, but I think it is in order now. I´m still trying to see if I can make it in August. Remember my husband is on the road everyday and I have 11 dogs and August is the month when everyone at the shelter is on vacation, so that leaves just 2 of us to tend to all the animals. I´ll get back to you about this around the end of June. By then I´m sure I´ll be able to give you an answer. How is the business going? I hope you and Jon are well. Once again, Linda and I had a great time on her last visit and I´m sure that by the next time she can visit, she will have gotten rid of all the sand she chewed on when we went camping. Take care and I´ll keep in touch. Big HUG, Maria

Hi Alice,
In the meantime, the consulate employees have received an official Memo that EVERYONE is forbidden to take vacation during, a week before and a week after the month of August. Like I already mentioned, this is due to the consulates move into a different building. I would've loved to visit you. You said this was a time share apt. Then the chances are, you might invite us again to come and visit. I was in Portugal last week, visiting Maria again. We have a blast together and the weather was fantastic. We went "wild camping" on a beach in the area of Penich. We felt young and sprinty again, but I am still crunching on sand today :D. Speak to you later and many greetings to all!

Hi Alice:
Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the offer...it's very generous. We have plans to be at the Jersey shore that week so we are not free (as I write this, I'm still trying to get my parents and 6 siblings organized for this vacation!).
Hope you have a wonderful time....I'll get over there at some point (and as I watch TV this week, I'm thinking that I'd also really like to go to Rome at some point).
I need more free time.....I gotta retire soon!

Alice, thank you so very much for the invitation. It would be an honour. If I can make it or not depends on our present management (see email I wrote you). I will let you know as soon as I can. I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter and Passover. Best wishes to all

Hi Nial, That is one of the reasons I am making the trip is to go to Normandy. I am really hoping that Jon can make the trip with me because of his love of history. But if not this trip then maybe in a couple of years. I am going to be in Connelles France in a time share exchange from Aug 13-20 I have accom for 6 so if you and Linda would like to join me you are both welcome. Alice

Wow! Jackson High goes international!
One of my relatives in the UK goes to France every Summer for the 24 Hours of LeMans sports-car endurance race. I have a standing invite to go with him. I would very much like to go....one of these days!
France also has a fairly big Celtic population along the coast. With my background, it would be fun to visit that area.
My future son-in-law was on a work-assignment in Normandy recently...he said that it was a powerful place (because of the history).

Maria, thank you so very much for the great time I had with you and your family in Portugal. You have a fantastic family and I have won them all in my heart. Portugal is a very beautiful country with very friendly people. It was a fantastic 9 days. We naturally talked about highschool and looked thru the year book. This brought back memories. Thats why I want to take the opportunity to send warm and hearty greetings to all of you. Maria, for you a great big hug and kiss. Alice, Maria and I will be in contact with you about August. God bless you all
