Charlie Gargayo has been missing from my family for years and we have searched to no avail until I found your post mentioning his name... Can you please help me find out if the Charlie you knew is the same person my family lost contact with? His parents names would be Jenny (or jauna) and Louis (louie) Gargayo who adopted Charlie and lived in NJ. My father lost conctact with Charlie after my fathers sister passed away long ago. If you have any info please let me know if this is the same Charlie. My father has been searching for years and is 86 now, his name is Charlie Rivera who is Charlie Gargayo's adopted uncle. Any info you have would be so helpful. I have an old photo I can email to you so please respond joeandjoie@yahoo.com

It's funny to read about all the old cars some of the guys had. I have been racing sports cars (MGs and Austin Healeys) for the last 30 years. I ran 14 races last year including Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, Summit Point, etc. Probably the same this year (my first '06 race is in WV 2 weeks from now).~~~
Wayne: My information is that we lost Charlie Gargayo many year ago. Sorry to pass that on. ~~~ Walt: I'm also in NW Jersey (Andover). And my *first* didn't work out very well either.....but I won the lottery with *Number Two*. Hang in there!

Hi Oscar, give my best to Charlie.Let's see if I can remember some of those cars.My 442 was dark blue with white pinstripping and a spiderweb around the antenna. Jacks was red. Bill McGeachen had the white one, all 65's and all automatics. How about Gary Foulks' green Nova, the "Behemouth" or his red 427 chevy impala convertable.Unsworth had a number of cars but I can't recall a 442. How about sme kind of small mopar convertable? I just keep seeing him hanging off some bike !!!!.

Hello Wayne,
I know you and a good friend of mine Charlie Gargayo were friends, I just hung out with everyone, however, I do remember you had one of the nicest cars back in the day, Olds 442, muscle car, we either had one, or wish you did.
I always remember the 442's in Jackson, you had one, Jackie Bollentin had one, Glen Hendrickson had one, Bob Unsworth, had one, they were a symbol of good taste.
Glad you found the site,
Oscar

Hi Wanye!
It's pouring rain here in NJ and it's my day off, so I'm stuck inside surfing the internet....I just saw your message.
Hope all is well with you (I'm hoping it'll stop raining soon so I can go outside and work in the yard or fool around with the car).
