Hi All. I've had no internet for a while, due to being away, so this is my first "check in" in a while. John: Congrats and best of luck of retirement. I'm still working, but that's OK....There's an old saying; "Find a job that you like and you'll never have to work a day in your life!" That's my deal....I hope they still let me teach when I'm 99. Also, glad to hear the back fusion is working out for you. My old pal, Joe Milan (Jackson High'70) just had this done and he's on-the-mend right now (in Florida). Alice: Good luck on the RV park. We have one right near my house (in Andover, NJ). Folks that own RVs are a nice bunch as far as I can tell. As for my life...my younger daughter just got married 3 weeks ago....and my older daughter got married 11 months ago. So that's another good reason to keep working....got to pay off all these bills! Otherwise, all is good here. My folks are still in Jackson and I go down fairly often to help them with the house. And I'm still racing the MG. So far about 8 race weekends this year. I was at the Pittsburgh Vintage Races a while back and I'll be at Lime Rock, Conn. in a few weeks.Other news....I just got my first cell phone (Linda and the kids said "Finally!"). OK, be well! Talk to you all soon.

Hi John, Sorry I didnt answer sooner. Lots going on here. I am sorry to hear about your back surgery. I know it is not a "fun" thing to go through. Surgery never is. I worked with many post op patients when I was nursing and I have had my share of surgeries as well. I am glad your surgery went so well. My sister Georgette just had her lower back operated on a few weeks ago and is doing better than before the surgery. She will also need her upper spine worked on as a result of the accident that took my nieces life a couple of yrs ago. She takes each day as it comes and with the support of Mike her husband and her 4 sons and Grandson she is making progress. I cant wait to get back east but I probably won't be able to get back there until the reunion. We are in negotiations to purchase an RV park in Northern Nevada about 2 hrs east of Reno. and a convience store there as well. In fact we are flying up there in the am. So I have to cut this short and get to bed. Will keep every one informed and when we get this park going all of the Grads of 68 will be invited to visit. Talk to you all soon. Alice

Hi John, Congrats on your retirement as well. I know the last time I was in town for my nephew's wedding was June. I could not beleive how much the entire area has grown. I will have to contact Candy about the reunion. It should be in about 2 years from Thanksgiving. The 40th I can't believe how fast the years have gone by. For most of my walking now I have to use a walker the cane just does not work for long distances anything over 20 feet is a long distance for me now but I am not complaining I can still get around. Talk to you soon. Alice

Hope you all had a great summer vacation. I retired on Aug 15. SS disability. Now I can enjoy LV. Especially when the heat goes below 3 digits. Past few weeks we have gone to a few shows and the Star Trek Convention. Jon is a trekkie, but I took him for his birthday. And we have been looking into purchasing an RV park possibly in Northern Nevada or Washington. Have a GREAT Labor Day. Alice
