Nial,
Thanks for digging up that sound clip. Now I remember it, but I also remember thinking of it even then as being instantly forgettable and not much more than a time-to-change-to-another-station reminder. It sounds like bits and pieces of "Grazing In The Grass" but without the words.

I really thought Dave was making up "The Horse" (to see if we were paying attention).

Then I went to Amazon.com and found it on a "Mix Album". There is a sound clip on the page address below .....you can click on #3 (Listen) to hear "The Horse". Sorry, but "clickable" HTML links are not allowed here, so you will have to copy/paste the page address if you want to hear it (I *do* remember it....but I didn't *like* it).

. . . so I'm not the only one who doesn't remember The Horse then?
But you're right, this list definitely hurts. I cringed as I typed it in. Just remember, pop/rock took several twists and turns before it devolved into disco and then re-invented itself in punk. Sappy-crappy-schlock (my term) was just one of them.

Dont remember The Horse, although the memory aint what it used to be. Maybe we knew it under some other name? You are right Charley, some of this stuff is awful and yes we did used to listen to it. How sad. Alice
