You obviously know how I feel. Thanks for the spelling of THAT word. After all these yrs in nursing I still cannot spell it. Freudian I think. It was real great seeing you and meeting your lovely wife. I hope if you get out to Ca. we might be able to get together. How is the weather this week. We were lucky to have to go back to VA. for Ed's wedding. We would have been snowed in till Tuesday if we hadn't. Talk to you soon. Alice/Lorraine

A/L:
I understand perfectly about being schizophrenic with one's name.
I've spend my life being called 'Niel', or 'Niles' or even 'Nils'.
The more common Irish spelling of my name is 'Niall', so even in Ireland, people stumble over my name. Oh well...
Anyway, 'Lorraine' it is!

Hi Nial, Thank you for putting this web site together so we could communicate with each other. It really helped to contact those that are not on classmates. I go by my middle name now because I never liked my first name Alice. I was not allowed to use it in school because they forced me to use the name that came first on my birth certificate. My family have always called me Lorraine at home. Talk about being scitzophrenic, I cannot even spell that word how about scitzoid.:? well that is why I go by Lorraine. Uvaney is my married name. Hence Lorraine Uvaney. I hope the 40th reunion will be just as successful and those that could not make this reunion for whatever reason will be at the next one. Alic e

I hope the 35th was a great turn out. I was cruising the Western Carribean from the 23th to the 30th with Jan and my two boys. Please try to send over some more pictures with names it's kind of hard to still remember all the faces. We now live in Spring Branch, TX in the hill country 20miles north of San Antonio. Thanks All, Frank O.

And...
I will attempt to post some pictures of the event this week. And, I'll try to set up an easy link, so that everyone can have simple access to these pictures. Some of my digital pictures aren't the greatest. If any of you have any decent digital pictures, please feel free to send them to my work e-mail address (but please don't send more than about 5 or 6 digital photos or my e-mail inbox will explode!). My work e-mail is:

nmccabe@ccm.edu

If any of you have video tapes (I think Dan Nash might), I'd be happy to replace the tapes and pay shipping (I can get digital still-pictures from a VHS tape).
If you suspect that anyone out there is still not aware of this web site, please send them the web address. In many cases, it may be easier to simply give them the shorter web address for my personal site and tell them to go to the last link on that page. My personal web address is:

www.npmccabe.org

Again, it was great to see so many old friends. Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make this reunion such a success.

I would like to add to John Kovak's comments (John put his comments at the end of the 'Reunion Reminder' thread).
Linda and I thought the reunion was great fun. We enjoyed it immensely.
I made an attempt to speak to everyone (at least briefly) during the reunion....alas, I think I missed a few of you during the chit-chat and confusion. I'll try to get to everyone at the fortieth event (yes.....it appears that we will have a fortieth reunion.....I hope).
Special thanks to all those on the committee that took care of all the 'grunt work'. You did a great job and we appreciate your efforts!
Roughly speaking, we attracted about one-third of all the Jackson '68 grads. This is a remarkable accomplishment after 35 years. It is especially interesting when you realize that many larger high school classes are unable to get enough interest to even arrange a reunion.
All of you who traveled a long distance should really get a gold star. I'm truly impressed by the distances that some folks traveled to help make this event such a success.
I was also amazed by the number of Jackson teachers that showed up (and didn't they all look the same?). It sounded like many of those teachers have good memories of our class too.
I realize that some 68 grads wanted to attend, but for various reasons, couldn't make it (regrettably, in one case, due to a death in the family). I hope that those of you who missed this time will be able to attend our fortieth reunion. Please come in 2008.....you were missed! (and anyway, we need your money so we can have an even bigger, better party).
