I knew Sgt Joyce we served together Big Red One 701 and i believe prephaps at Ft Stewart for training of the bay of pigs patriots, who were murdered when pres kennedy lied to them about air support. This Sgt Joyce was a solid guy in whom you could depend as a fellow soldier and NCO..May God's blessings be on him and his family...Sam robinson 701 61-65 74-75..srob03@charter.net

Mike you were a great friend and brother. I am so glad that I got to see you and meet Mary in St. Louis. After 40 years you were still the same man I served with in Viet Nam, always smiling and just a great friend.I will miss you for ever. Rest in peace.May God bless you Mary and your children for we all have lost someone special.. Love Denny & Nancy Washburn

Mike was a very good soldier, a humble man and a devoted husband and father. He was the head of a very fine family. Mary and the children will continue to be in our prayers.

May I express my deepest sympathy to Mike's family. I had the privilege of meeting Mike at my first reunion in Chicago in 2004, and saw him again last year in St. Louis. He was a funny-loving guy, with a great sense of humor. He loved his family, and his country, deeply. We will all miss our brother.

ON SEPT 16th,2008 @ 4AM EST. MIKE JOYCE PAST AWAY. HE WAS MY FRIEND AND CLOSER TO ME THAN A BROTHER. HE WAS STILL THE JOKESTER 40 YEARS LATER, AFTER VIETNAM.
MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY, MARY HIS WIFE,BRIDIE,HIS DAUGHTER AND 3 SONS MARTY, JIM, AND SMOKEY. HE ALWAYS PUT A SMILE ON OUR FACES, BUT TODAY I'M NOT ABLE TO SMILE.
