RE: Amendments to By-Laws

Any changes should go through proper channels, aprovals start at unit level, then moves up to Department level then up to the National Level. If there is no Department, then it moves up to the National Level. Aproval should also be received from the Detachment.

Meetings can be held on any day and at any time as long as the majority can be in agreement.
My unit meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 2 pm. Another unit in the area also meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month but in the mornings. It was in arragnment so members from each Unit can visit the other Unit's meetings. It is something to consider.

Amendments to By-Laws

Our Aux unit has voted to change the quorum number in our by-laws. I think I will need to notify and send info to our National Judge Ad. for this. How do I go about this? What special wording do I need to insert, who gets this info. etc. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
Jo, Judge Adj for the Unit.

Meeting Times

Our Auxiliary meets at 11:00A on Mondays each month when some of the members work and cannot attend the meetings. The last vote to move the meeting to a more convenient time at night was a 4 to 4 vote. I suggested setting the meetings on a Saturday if night meetings were not agreeable to our older members. It is the position of the Past President that the meetings can only be held on a Saturday if the place chosen for the meeting serves lunch. I had to resign from the Junior Vice post because I do not believe a member who cannot attend meetings should hold a position of power, no matter how minimal it may be. How should this impasse be handled. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

See Enclosure # 20 of the Bylaws and Administrative Procedures for EXACT colors and details on design. To get you started the color is field banner blue for the cloth, silver gray for the globe, gold for the motto ribbon and scrolls. Gold for the embroidery thread of the Marine Corps Insignia, letters, edges, fringe and cord tassel.

I looked in the National Administrative Procedures for information on the Civics program as I'm the Department Chairperson to get an understanding of what the program entails. The procedures referenced enclosure 16 with regard to the Civics program; however, I can't find the enclosures. Are they located on the website?
