the workshops at asilomar begin at 4:30 on wednesday an interesting topic might be the science or "tender topics" and children's lit...
... at 9:00 on thursday with workshops on lgbtq issues...friday has music and movement, hands-on stuff... all 9-10:45 and that's it...

wow... the conference is right next door to you! it's actually during the week... oct 4, 5, 6... i would suggest that you just bumrush the show... as you probably know, the asilomar conference grounds are in pacific grove... registration is $150 for thursday and friday... $110 for thursday only... call 415-882-0234 and ask for cindy mall if you want to be official... the men in early childhood education round table is on thursday...10:30 to noon...

Hi, Greg--
Since I live in Pacific Grove, I would be interested in knowing more about the R&R Conference being held at Asilomar in October (hopefully, it's not the weekend of the 6th when there's an AAEYC Board meeting in Sacramento). And since you will be presenting, perhaps we can get together while you're in town to compare notes.

the conference is actually in asilomar near monterey... it's the annual resource and referral conference... i don't even know if the outside ece world is able to attend (it's a bit pricey... but kinda cool, although it's very different than the aeyc type conference)... but i am wondering if you would like to present a workshop at our annual conference at the 4 points lax... feb 3, 2007... maybe on male involvement, boy-friendly environment, father involvement, something like that?

i would like to thank jerry for the sweet article...
also wanted to challenge everyone involved in their local aeyc affiliates to make sure than a men in child care workshop is presented...
i have the good fortune to be able to present a workshop on male involvement at the annual california child care resource and referral conference this october... so we have successfully begun the infiltration movement!
i expect everyone to infiltrate to the degree possible! and to subvert when necessary the dominat paradigm that men do not belong in ECE...
