Mike brings up some good points & I'd like to throw-out some ideas for all of "use-guys" feedback.
To start with we have the core racers that have been with the group for several years & then we have new guys that we are trying to get-keep interested in the hobby.
For the most part, to those of us who have been racing the longest, we have all of the different HO classes & there is a tendency to want to run something "different". There also is a money/investment point to consider, especially for our newer racers. Adding to this thought, for the last two or three years we have "locked" ourselves into a "series" type of car. Now, I think we, for the most part all agree that two (4) month series or Fall/Spring are better than running the same car for a full year. I think we all like points/series racing. The question is are we all happy with "locking" ourselves into (2) series races ea. time we meet? Do we like it well enough that, provided we get in the two Series races, it only leaves the race sponsor (1) additional race to promote (generally an IROC)?
So, do we want to continue the (2) series races every meeting or do we want to go to (1) or maybe even no series. For my 2 cents, I'd like to switch to just one series race ea. season & leave (2) races open to that night's race sponsor. In listening to some of your comments, about always racing the same "series" type car, maybe the "series" race should strive to be something different ea. season. I for one would like that. A lot of you have said, hey, I bought all of these Lifelikes, Tomys, X-Tractions & Tycos but now we never race them. How about running the Series Race (singular) with a new class of cars ea. time. We've run lots of different T-Jet series, & we've run lots of different "Fast Modified" series. Mike put on a Tyco "Iroc" series race, I think we all liked that one. I'm just throwing this out for thought, How about a Fall IROC series, but ea. Race Sponsor decides what cars/class/rules to provide. That would be definitely different. The series winner would have to be a good racer with any class of cars. Running just (1) series race season would allow the sponsoring host to select then either one or two races of his choice.
Getting back to money/investment, those of us with a lot of cars need to help sponsor some of the new guys with some loaners & as the case arises, some of our hard earned mechanical knowledge.
Fun for all is probably somewhere between what we as individuals would like & taking in the desires of all of our old & new members.

My vote (for the magnet cars) is Super Stock Lite, same as we’ve been running. Why change something we starting to get a handle on?
(My next choice would be to move UP the performance scale, but not sure everyone is ready or wants to do that.)
For Tjets – I’ll let the Tjet crazies debate/decide that one – but I think sticking with some ‘standard’ rules (like the ‘Fray’ versions this past season) would be best.
Brent has the September date, but that’s on the Little Red 1 … what about the magnet car Series? Separate date & track, or Brent can you run one class on the LR1 and the other on the MaxTrax? I think in the past you didn’t want to do that because of having to move the power supply … and the computer too? If someone brought a power supply for LR1, would it make that easier? I think we’d like to stick with one race night per month, with both Series at the same place.
