OK, you know it had to happen. Just couldn't resist opening an admin thread to remind us of some things we all need to be aware of.
Times: Cannery Row runs from 10 to 4, the Slough from 9-3. Start times are when to show up, and you can expect to be off the water, boats and gear cleaned and ready to go home by end time.
No Shows: It happens, and is not a problem, but please call me at 805-915-7257 or you staff person for the day to let them know you can't make it.
Sign in Sheets: New for this year is a volunteer sign in sheet on a clipboard at each location. Please sign it when you arrive so we have a record of who paddles each day. It is important to have this information for government funding.
Data Sheets: Please write your name, location and date clearly. Each folder for holding the data sheets has a information sheet that gives you the abreviations for location, kayak type, type of stop, disturbance type (if any) and other information. When you get your data sheet, check both sides to make sure it hasn't already been used. There is a plastic folder with blank sheets and another for completed sheets.
Schedule: The most up to date schedules are maintained right here on our web site. You cannot add yourself to the schedule online, however, please check the online schedule for openings and email ronaldeby@peoplepc.com with your desired paddling dates. I will respond to you with an updated copy of the schedule reflecting your request.
Parking: You can park for free at Elkhorn Slough in the Kayak Connection parking lot. Please leave a note on your dash indicating you are a TeamOCEAN member. There is usually free parking spaces along Del Monte Avenue for Cannery Row, or across the street at the park, or you can elect to pay for parking at any of the nearby lots.
