I have a question. I'm just wondering what the background of most inspectors is. Is it that of an enigineer or perhaps an electrician. I see that some building inspectors and those who inspect elevators double duty as a ride safety inspectors. My question is are their any institutions that offer courses in the field of inspection with basics in the required areas. I being one of many who has worked in fixed site parks am just very curious about finding out what I can about the education process for inspectors. Is it required to first be in an engineering type field?
