Gene, What I am saying is that they did not participate with others alot. Did not show up an many of the seminars and sat huddled together during most meetings with someone keeping them herded in. Now I have no problems with that person but that was just an observation I made on my part.

What do you mean they were kept under lock and key? You know, I had some good accountants and lawyers ready to take PSK into the franchise world. I explained to them that I didn't think that my business was successful enough to charge people hundreds of thousands for the concept. The accountant explained that franchisees do not have to turn a profit in order for the franchisor to do so. Well, I thought that was unethical. Give these folks 5 years and we'll see how happy they are. You know, with that one franchisor, everyone on that other message board talks about the franchise costing $25k. $25k is only for a 200,000 population area. A service area as large as PSK's would cost around $250,000.

Hey Hey Gene!!! Just stopping by to see how you were doing. Looks like very well. Yeah we seem to be having the same ol same ol on the other board. Had the convention and the thing that suprised me werre the ages of the franchise folks. Most all in the early twenties. Looks like alot of selling in the way of "Hey look at what I did and you can do the same".....of course at a huge expense to you and dont forget that nice little percentage every month. Promises of gandeur!! They were nice enough but I really wonder how much thinking they put into the process. ARGHHHH dont get me started!!! To each their own and they were nice enough I guess. They were pretty much kept under lock and key. Dont want them learning the dark truth from the veterans.

You make a really good point Shon. I don't think any of them ever did a lot of inquiring of current scoopers. I think Red's success in Dallas, along with his selling skills, won them over.

Yes, the franchise subject is a little exhausting but I think it's good debate. Funny thing is, his franchisee's say they invested much thought and research before they made the decision. BUT, you remember them asking all of us at matthews board about franchising? Wouldn't you bring up the subject to the many scoopers from across the country and get different views and opinions on the subject as part of your research??
I don't remember anyone of his people asking questions on pooperscooper.com before they spend the money on a PB franchise.
I just think it would be a big part of my research before I made the plung.

Too bad more folks have not noticed we are #1 on Google when searching for "pooper scooper" or "dog waste removal". It's kind of quiet on our board, while that "other" board argues about franchises and Apaws - hope we never come to that. As we dominate MSN.com on terms such as "dog poop removal" and "dog waste removal service". We are quietly gaining ground on Yahoo, currently position #33 on Dog Waste Removal Service. Any doubt that will improve? A month ago, we were #61.
