"Remember a couple months ago I posted about giving a quarter ounce gold Eagle as a wedding present? Well I just heard back that the couple felt a little disappointed that I only gave them ten dollars !! I was talking to my aunt who diplomatically asked if I forgot to enclose a check along with the “fancy coin” as she called it.
It seems the couple and everyone else in the family thought it was some kind of new commemorative coin like presidential dollar coins. After I explained what it was the aunt still thought it would have been much better to give them “regular real money”. I especially liked her term “real” money !!
She said that way the couple won’t have to go out and try to find a dealer that might be willing to buy it. I told her they shouldn’t sell it, they should hold and keep it. She thought that was crazy. It’s much better to get the money and put it in the bank !!
HERE’S THE BEST PART ** The aunt's not even sure if the couple can even find it, they just dropped it in their coin jar !!
What is this world coming to?
