All EMRA Workers:

Please wear Long pants and shoes. A tee shirt is OK. Avoid Red and Yellow. Prepare for hot sun, wind, rain and back to hot sun.

Also...
You must stand when the track is hot and keep your hands (and feet) off the Armco. These are the rules, NJ State police are watching.

EMRA will tolerate just about any other kind of behavior as long as you are focussed when cars on course.

EMRA has rain coats and a cooler of water bottles. Bring whatever else you think you need.

NJMP is not the beach, If it was, they would be checking your beach tags.

Can't wait!!

I'll call your cell, Dave, I want to discuss worker photos anyway. Thank Manny again, he jumped in at grid, made himself very useful at Monticello. Him and Bob F had to deal with some two way traffic at pit out. Hope he had some fun, too.

I'm posting from the MAC store at "The Pier" mall in Atlantic City. Changing Home pages on all computers to EMRAracing.org.!! Here all week.

Still planning on flagging for Friday--my time trialing will probably have to wait unless the machine shop my son uses does an extrodinarily fast job. Have Camera--Will Travel.

Cally, Each NJMP flag station has a cement platform with metal roof. We'll make sure your station is accessible, there will be a 3.5 ft armco between you and the track.

Dave has to watch the dog, I presume?

See you guys there!

Cally, to answer your question regarding shelters-at least for one station-go to the EMRA gallery and look at the photos from NJMP 7/08 - the one called "extras". Kevin, I'll be on the road to NC to work on my motor and then Lightning on the return. I can work one of the two race days--hope to drive in the TT-will be doing photos regardless. I figured Friday would be the better day for me to work and maybe better for you. I'm planning on pitching my tent at the track--will arrive Thurs. eve. -- Dave

Ginny and I will be there all three days.
Dave has to check his work schedule but
probably will not be there. He'll let
you know as soon as he can.

Also, does the lightening track have
platforms/cover? Please advise.

Thanks, and see you soon,

Cally

Kevin you still have me on your list for Saturday correct? I can work the Sprints and the Enduro as I will be staying at the track.
I am working for my volunteer/club day.

EMRA Workers- Volunteers - NJMP Lightning July 10, 11, 12 2009.

Anyone who was there last year will tell you that the Lightning is a great circuit and NJMP is a fantastic facility.

EMRA needs your help as a Corner Worker to make this event safe and successful.

Lightning has 11 corner worker stations to cover. The EMRA schedule has us racing on Friday and Saturday and Time Trialing on Sunday. We must have 2 flaggers per station on Friday and Saturday and only 1 per station for Sunday.

TTers help support the club on Friday and Saturday. Racers and crew, stay over on Sunday.

First Time Flaggers are welcome, please contact me and we will make sure you are put with experienced corner workers. You will get an EMRA T-shirt.

All workers will receive lunch on EMRA.

There are a limited number of stipend positions available Anyone that has flagging experience and can work a station alone is eligible for pre-registration expense money.

EMRA workers even if you plan to volunteer, contact me now. This is urgent because we want to give the track reasonable time to line up any workers we can’t provide.

Please reply back or email flagging@emraracing.org or call Kevin Lindenmuth at 215-460-2116.

Questions?

Thanks.
