Marc is right about the hp challenged cars running in the blue group. I prefer to run in the white group where the cars are of similar speeds, and where I can spend more time improving my times, than watching my mirrors. Justin, why not try a point by for the faster cars and create an opening where you can have a clear track ahead of you to practice.

The run group color designations are driver experience. Yellow is student, Red is novice, White is intermediate skill level, and Blue is advanced skill level. But car power among those groups can be very different. I have a lot of experience, but in the Blue group I get "run over" in my horsepower challenged car (that's right, the awesome Saturn!!) So I seem to have more fun running in White. Blue and White are very similar, and often people switch back and forth.

Justin,
One thing i've consistantly noticed is that someone [not you per say] who finds themselfs caught up in traffic forgets "you have the option of pulling in/taking a breather/going back out in a different position"
Most important, let the Grid Marshall know you've "justcome in to break away from traffic" & they rerelease you with that in mind.

This has been something I've been pondering as well.
As far as I know, it goes in this order:
Student (yellow)
Red
Blue
White
However, my fairly well handling car only has so much hp, so when I run with the white group, I'm getting run over in the straights by Vette's and whatnot, I'm simply in the way. When I run with red group, I'm nearly running over other people in corners. Or worse yet, I'm running in white and nearly run over a slow, inexperience guy who's done 100 events but still hasn't mastered the art of driving.
So, what is the color designation for? Skill, number of events, lap time, speed? I feel like I can enter any group and find a variety of people with no real differentiating factors, just a mix and match of skill and speed.

Run Group Question [for a friend]:
Is the Color designation by Experience or Potential Speed.
If by Experience; What is the least experience color.
Thanks,
Doc Hudson
