Hi Rocky -- sorry for this very tardy reply. A lot of stores don't have it any more, so I'll mail you an autographed copy. A hardcover is $15 or the paperback is $10. Just email me your contact info (briandonovan26@hotmail.com), I'll mail it to you, and you can send me the $ when you get the book. Thanks for your interest.

Brian, I was out on station 5 all day so didn't really have time to stop by & find you. How can I get my hands on one of your books? Will you be at Lime Rock?

I heartily recommend Brian's book. I had the good fortune to read it when it first came out and it is an excellent read, a real page turner. If you are interested in the convergence of civil rights and the earlier history of NASCAR this is an excellent book.

On Saturday at Pocono I'll be selling and autographing copies of my recent biography of Wendell Scott. It's called "Hard Driving: The American Odyssey of NASCAR's First Black Driver." It's the life story of a unique pioneer in our sport and an investigative exploration of the many ways NASCAR treated him wrong.
Discount prices: $15 for hardcover, $10 for the large trade paperback. And all buyers get another racing or classic-car book for free. To find me, look in the pits for the black Formula Vee, number 26.
