I had mentioned the Facebook page a few weeks back in emails and the solution was to make me an Admin on the page.
I never got an email saying that there was a change and happened to be thinking about it the other night and looked and low and behold I could change things.
I will work on changing and updating as I can.
Shoot me an email if there is anything you think we should post or update.
I did post a video there the other day also.

I'd also like to ad that i consider Lindsey, Len, Ambrose and all the FPR Drivers Friends, Honest and Great Competitors. It takes a special person to understand the thrill of Racing a Formula Car.
I sincerely regret that my comments about the recent lack of participation of Open Wheelers in the EMRA Schedule has been taken as personal attacks on my Friends and the responding Pointed Responces by me.
To survive EMRA must start looking at its self as a Business and advertise, promote and cater to its "Attending/Paying" clientel.
The fact that EMRA has a "Facebook Page" that is never updated to show EMRAs current schedule is "Absolutly Useless".
I am a Dinosar but also realize we are in a new age and must use tools availible to welcome new blood and at the same time re-think things that aren't benefitial to the group.
Sorry: Lindsey, Len and Ambrose and EMRA

Afternoon, Welcome to this emergency press conferance.
It has come to my attention that Doc Hudson that I incorrectly identified as "Angry" yesterday, is not.
He appears to be frustrated but and indeed has been confirmed as Crazy. Have You Seen His Motor Home ?
My Boss has ordered his Medications be reviewed.
Unofficially, I would like to offer I know Doc and althought Outspoken he has EMRA's future at heart.
End of official communication.

The rumor about Angry Old Man [aka: Doc Hudson] undergoing an Internal Investigation for proposing to use funds from his 2 Newly Acquired Car Companies and Thousands of Union Workers to fund private pleasures is untrue. We have noted him to be a bit touchy lately and will appoint a Czar to oversee his future actions.

Fred, what do I have to do to piss you off enough to pay MY entry fees? :)

Lindsey, Et Al. In other words, Len and Ambrose also.
Charlie made my point better than i ever could have and kept it civil at the same time. If EMRA was scheduling track time for small bore and none showed up, i'd be making the same noise.
To help make my point clearer, i'm building an F/B and will be running with another club who has a large open wheel car count in 2010. At the same time i will continue to race tin tops with EMRA in 2010 [because it's just plain _hits and giggles fun]. In addition i will continue to bring TT'ers and support EMRA's TT Program.
As of right now TT'ers are this clubs life blood, they pay thier dues and entry fees, run their track time and in no way should be short changed for No Shows or 2,3 or 4 cars on track.
The Point Was, EMRA can't sell Track Time with No Shows on the Schedule. "What they can do is eliminate No Shows and have a better product [more Track Time] to advertise/sell, they are a Business".
EMRA's handling of low car counts in the tin top ranks at some venues by combining BB and SB is a credit to EMRA and it's "Racers". It is also enjoyed by BB, SB drivers and the drivers of those stupid looking Yellow things in addition to the TT'ers who enjoy the show.
Len & Lindsey, [Ambrose your excluded because you have driven here many times and I belive have Won a Race here], if you ever want to drive a track that is on EMRA's Schedule that you continually critize [Shenandoah] without ever driving/racing on it, i'll pay your entry fee anytime you want to try it.

Facts, Lindsey, Facts... it is the most important start to any valid argument.
Based on posted results there was NO EMRA racing at LRP last year (I believe that EMRA ran Thunderbolt instead and only 4 Formula cars show in the results)and the year before there was 1 formula car that actually ran LRP. This would indicate that A: nobody could support a race with EMRA at LRP in 2008 due to the fact that there was none and B: only 1 formula car chose to support the EMRA race in 2007. I will grant you that it rained cats and dogs but there were a couple of closed wheel open roof cars that actually ran.
in 2006 it rained so hard no formula cars took the grid (although a couple actually towed up there just to make sure... I am guessing that you weren't one of them)
in 2005 there were 13 Big Open wheel, 6 SRFs and 3 Vees in Small "open wheel" and from the names listed none of the SRFs were EMRA regulars but instead, NE SCCA folks. BTW that is a good thing.
The fact is, with your East Course race events (which stole track time from TTers while bringing little to EMRA) you have had more opportunities to race with EMRA over the past 4 years than closed wheel sprint racers.
At the risk of being rude.... Oh never mind, we all know how rude I can be.
Show up and race. OR NOT. I am sure that EMRA could do something interesting and innovative with the track time.... Like have a long sprint race with sedans at LRP. Looking forward to an interesting race. wanna rent an ESR?
If you want influence, show up with cars. If you want to argue with a crazy old man like Fred, or a loudmouth lunatic like myself, you should get your facts straight, but either way, EMRA welcomes you.

For the past few years the schedule at Lime Rock has allowed ONLY Big Bore and Small Bore to run . Open Wheel didn't "opt-out". We were not allowed to race .The Open wheel classes of EMRA do not have a race on the schedule until mid-November.
Once again, Fred, I don't see your point.

"Open Wheel Has Decided to Opt Out Of This Weekend"
Biting Tongue. Na, Can't do it. "Poor Track Conditions, Deteriorating Track Conditions, Lack Of Challenge" ?
Thanks for the advance notice so EMRA can "Advertise Maximum Track Time" to those who are and might be considering attending. THAT WAS MY POINT, See Ya There and Bringing a TT'er.

Having run numerous 1/2 day events at LRP I have to say they have all been fun.
with just Big and Small Bore for the day, that amounts to 2 hours per group minus the small amount of time between sessions, so even a monkey can figure out how to do four 20 minute sessions and two 50 minute races in that amount of time.
The Yellow Menace will be there in force as this looks to be one of the most exciting races of the entire year.... Assuming that we get enough cars to make it exciting.
Is anyone besides me planning on going to the 4 hour this year. Enduro fields have been grim and I am not sure it would be too much fun to drive around Summit for 4 hours with 6 other cars looking for a draft.

Open wheel has decided to opt out of this weekend.
It will be separate Small Bore and Big Bore Sprint Races (schedule is posted).
Because of the new Lime Rock Club status, EMRA, along with several other groups, lost one of our days at this venue. That's why we ran only Time Trials there last year. Lime Rock contacted us and offered us half a day on Friday for this year. That's why we have the schedule the way it is.
Since we have access to the facility in the morning, we have time to set up, have registration and tech, do sound checks and be ready to go at 1pm.

Does that mean open wheel will not be having race sessions? Its also not clear whether small bore and big bore will be on track together or separately. Races of 40+ laps will take close to 50mins each plus practice plus qualifying. We always used a whole day to do what we're now saying fits in a half day, what am I missing here. It sounds like it will be cutting it all very close and if your car burps or someone has an off to clean up the whole schedule will go out the window. Good luck to all.

41 laps? That's enduro length for some guys. Make it 50 laps which is average enduro length. It's only 9 more.

Schedule will be posted shortly.
We have the track from 1pm to 5pm. Just EMRA. Small Bore and Big Bore. Practice, qualifying, races. 41 lap races.
Registration will open at 10am, Tech 10:15, so you can be ready to go on track at 1pm
Remember, LimeRock is FULLY MUFFLED. We'll do a sound-check at tech but it's the track personnel who will nab you on course if you're TOO LOUD.

Its been a long season of withdrawal but finally I have time and money to run an event. I've run Limerock every year for many years but this schedule asks racers to skip work then pay $250 for half a day. Will EMRA have flaggers ontrack for just the afternoon? Will there be big and small bore sprints? Will practice and qualifying be combined? Will the Skip Barber club cars be allowed to run with us? When I know more I can make a decision to arrange for time off from work. Thanks
