If you look at your license you will notice a letter after it. R stands for Red- Novice, W-stands for White-Intermediate and B-stands for Blue-Advanced.
Since you just receive your license you would be running in our Red group. After you successfully complete a season of TT or your comfort level improves or we see that your times are improving to the point you are lapping most others in the red group then we will move you to the next class.
Let us know if you have anymore questions.

With EMRA it is a little bit of run what you feel comfortable in. If you feel that you are ready to move up to the White run group just ask. If when you get to the event and you feel uncomfortable you can always switch back to the red group.
I have run with EMRA for 3 years now and always run white because I feel most comfortable there with my car and cars speed compared to the guys in the blue group. Always feel a like a rolling roadblock in the blue group.
On the other hand if you sign up for the white group and someone feels that you need to move back to the red group one of the EMRA folks or instructors might observe you and ask you to move based on observation.
Hope that helps.
