As the new EMRA Chairman I am pleased to announce a new/old policy in affect as of now:

The first 10 people sending a $1,000 deposit towards 2010 events
will get a 10% discount toward registrations while the account has a balance. Also the first 10 people sending a $500 deposit would get a 5% discount toward registrations while the account has a balance.

When do you need to send the check? - now.
Whats the deadline? - until 10 people in each category are filled.

As the newest Chairman I am asking for input / comments and suggestions on the past and for the future.
I would prefer receiving these at my email address.

To respond to a couple of questions and comments (I am not an official of EMRA, just a participant)I will speak for a number of drivers whom I help through the season.

A tentative schedule is important as early as possible so that people can offer input, preference and TENTATIVELY plan the next season.

If you are an enduro guy, the enduro schedule could be compared to many other enduros in the northeast.

If you went to LRP and enjoyed the format of the longer sprint races, you would certainly like to know if this is going to be a regular change or just a one-off.

I know that Schedules may change over the winter, but then again they sometimes change DURING the season. The important thing is that people can get an idea what to expect for next season so they can plan to run with EMRA as well as other groups.

a little birdie told me that there are expected changes to format and schedule, so we should not be left to speculate and guess.

Having said all that I also know that Darrel and Bob are working on the schedule and hopefully will have some info for everyone soon.

EMRA needs to be proactive and change with the times and the scheduling and format is an important part of that change. knowing what direction EMRA chooses ASAP better encourages participants to choose their events.

What is the point of posting a tentative schedule when it is almost certain to change? Honestly, the best indicator of when events will be held might be the yearly schedule of years past. I think it is generally static; am I right?

Isn't Spring a little late to plan a season when the rest of the motorsports world publishes tentative schedules in December or January and some even have tentative schedules available upon request at this very moment.

EMRA needs to get on the good side of the curve because, while it is easy to slide down, it can't last long on the downslope

I am beginning to plan my season between now and Xmas, and certainly others are as well. will EMRA be part of that plan or just an afterthought in the spring?

It usually gets finalized towards Spring.
