Hai...This is Lakshmi from Chennai. Having 9 years of experience in MT field. I have all setup of Electricity back power, Broadband connection, all necessary software for a perfect HT editing. But I have no idea about companies which is reliable with prompt payment and file flow. Please give me list of companies which is best for HT editing.

Gspal, you are wrong here. One cannot do Acusis work at any time of the day. They ask you for committment. No day shifts. If you think this is wrong information, you can go to Acusis, Lalbaug's office in Bengaluru and verify it. You will not be given any information there. They will ask you to clear their test first, then they disclose the rate. They want two internet connections and a huge electricity backup. How can a HBT afford to have two internet connections and minimum 6-hours of electricity backup just for 1.25 paise/line rate.

No flexibility if you working for Acusis. I gave the test but then i was asked to pay 10,000 Rs. Then, I changed my mind and started other HBT and I am getting 40 paise more than what Acusis promised me. I m happy that I took that decision. Acusis does not even clarify things until you have not cleared their test. You come to know about their policies after clearing all their tests. Its simply a waste of time.

Yeah, true. Acusis is a good company but to work for them is to have lot of patience. You can earn a decent amount but not good as opposed to other companies like Focus and Spheris etc.
There are many small companies who also pay good and one can earn a big amounts.

So, the rate of 1.25 per line is more it seems. They are not asking for 95% accuracy. They are asking for 98% accuracy. 95% accuracy is the minimum limit for which they pay 1.10 per line. Their policies are very rigid. Earning 22,000 does not mean that it is good for a person who is doing HBT. If a HBT has to follow strict policies then why should a person do HBT. Will he/she not join some company. In my opinion, Acusis is not an option if you are looking for peace-of-mind home based work. Anyone there on this forum who can further clarify or justify matters.

Because Acusis demands money, in my case only 2.5K, but point is why should I pay, I cleared tests and every other aspect. Secondly they want an undertaking that one who works for Acusis should work only for Acusis and none else. Thirdly their timing is fixed, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. which cannot be changed at any time. Fourthly did you see the first clauses of joining them? one has to be online and work for them, from 9-5 during day, 6 days a week, u cant take a day off, when someone will be monitoring your PC, for 1 month doing a minimum number of lines, i forgot the exact count, for a fortnight and if u fail u r not paid the stipulated 12 k/fortnight. Any thoughts gspal??

Acusis is demanding 10,000 from the mt/qa for new comers. I dont understand why should we pay 10k. This is the only one company who is asking such amount.

He has to do 650 lines a day which he can do at any time of the day but has to effectively do a minimum of 650 lines/day for which he is paid Rs 1.25/line of 65 characters with spaces for +95% accuracy and he earns around Rs. 22,000 a month. However, if his accuracy falls below +95% then his rate falls to Rs 1.10/line.

I wonder why all you so experienced MTs here do not work for Acusis. From time-to-time, I see posts here of those who have worked on various platforms or/and have 8-10 years experience. Why then do you not choose to work for big names in the home medical transcription industry? The line rates are also as per industry standards and there is no dearth of work. Any particular reason?
