I know this a little late but if you have'nt got one you will need a blocking diode between the panel and battery to stop the current flowing from the battery to the panel at night looks a bit like a transister about 1/2 inch long (any electrics expert will give one).

Hi all we have a 1993 pilote mx 22 with a fuse box in the wardrobe with approx spaces for 6 fuses but it only has one 5amp fuse in place. the other places whilst empty are open and the fuse does not stay in place just falls out. the questions I have are should there be more fuses in the box and can anyone explain why the leisure battery does not hold its charge. I see it listed quite a few times but the answers given do not seem to fit our particular situation. We have connected quite a small solar trickle feed to the roof and whilst it does appear to assist in charging I just wonder if it could also be discharging the battery at night. I know its not supposed to but it does have two small lcd lights on the panel all night so thought this might have something to do with it. Should I disconnect this solar at night. the only other light on during the night is the stand by on the car radio but thats connected to the car battery so just do not understand why the leisure battery loses power overnight. sorry to keep asking apparently similar questions but I guess all cases are individual so any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
regards
