I hated it. I have naturaly curly hair, and I was told it would not take the curl out, but make it smooth. I ruined my natural curls for months, and the combing process when its done, breaks off a lot of hair. Because I have curly hair, I like to just wash and shake in the summer. What I do is, after I wash it and condition and rinse, when I get out of the shower, I will take a cream hair conditioner of any kind (wella kolhestral) and finger it through my hair. It keeps my curls soft, and eleminates the frizz. Many salons now offer it. Stay away from the chocolate one though

I don't know of any place in NJ yet. The two people I know who had it done, got it done at Studio Barcelona in Nyack, NY.. one recommended the other to the place.

I've heard the same thing about the Brazilian Treatment.. however there is a new treatment called the Keratin Complex that is supposed to give you the same if not better results and is safe for you and good for your hair. Still expensive, but I've seen some women who had it done and it looks great. I'm considering it myself.

I've read that it is based on aldehyde and very poisonous.
