This message is to the moderator of the bulletin board
Eversince my son got admission to UH, I have been browsing the bulletin board regularly. I found it to be truely interesting and I used to feel it as a fabric of the community of Indian students at UH. In spite of some messages going over board in content to the extent of being outragious sometimes, they never ceased to be interesting and above all informative. From times immemorial, people engaged in service to the community attracted criticism due to the divergence of views held by the members of the community which they choose to serve. So to say, those who take up the daunting task of service must be prepared for criticism both bonafide and also malafide. Despite the vitriolic attacks, the people rendering service never deterred from their path of service and marched ahead with single minded devotion to their objective. They never retreated from achieving their goals nor allowed any one from distracting them from their choosen path. Otherwise the very people who they intend to serve would be the loosers. That being the case the moderator, in the prsesnt contoversy, should not allow the criticism of one "wellwisher" to rupture his/ her ego because the very purpose of the criticism is to make the moderator to leave his choosen path. In fact such criticism must make the moderator much more determined to march ahead, lest the sufferers would be the students and parents like me. Having done a wonderful job thus far, the moderator should not allow such pin pricks to bother him in the larger interest of the Indian students at UH. This is my opinion on the ongoing controversy. I hope that all those, who should be conerned, would find reason in my argument.
