So, the Dragon has "let the cat out of the bag". It was bound to happen eventually. The Earthers all seem to think of colonists as war hungry psychopaths. As elsewhere, what you see is what the politicians and media wish for you to see. The common man often has views vastly differing from that of the government, but as always, it is not often safe to vocalise one's opinion.<br> The Dragon and myself weren't the only ones dissatisfied with the situation but the opportunity to participate in the creation of a Gundam suit is not a chance that many would pass on.<br>With all of space on a wartime footing the secret police throughout the colonies were on a witchhunt for "traitors, spies, and dissenters". It wasn't safe for anyone to voice an opinion that could viewed as differing from that of the government. If you were caught you were lucky if you were killed outright. Many were sentenced to the mines for life. <br>The Dragon, myself, and a few others were lucky thatwe were specialists high in our chosen fields thus making us valuable to the foundations for the Gundam project. While many were starving in the streets we found ourselves promoted to high paying jobs trying to transform the overly optimistic and sometimes completely insane ideas of the head engineers into a working Mobile suit. Regardless of our political views this was a once in a lifetime chance that we weren't going to pass up.
