The 2000 edition of Footprints, list Binnie Ellis, who died May 1969, age 73 years. There was no birthdate. Fhere is a link from this website were you can accrss find a grave. If you go to the Tennessee page and the Union County section you will see a an overall picture of this cemetery. The Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery is located in Maynardville on Highway 33 and has had many of the headstones photographed and posted. At this time there are 228 for this cemetery by not one for Binnie Ellis who is listed in the publication mentioned above.

I found an obituary for my great grandmother, Brinnie Ellis, showing her funeral services were held at Rose Chapel in Knoxville and her interment was at Union Cemetery in Maynardville on or about May 15 1969. Rose Chapel indicated Union Cemetery was probably Union Baptist Church and was where she was most likely buried. We went to Union Baptist Church a few days ago while vacationing near Knoxville but could not locate her grave.

Do you have any records on who has been buried at this location? Is there another cemetery referred to as Union Cemetery? Brinnie's was born on July 5, 1895. Her father was a Will Roberts and her mother a Sarah Gunels.

I would appreciate any assistance you could provide.

Thanks you in advance
