Well, it's been a while, but when I was using macminix I always communicated via... umm... macwrite and macread (I think).
However, you need to relink them to macfile (I think again - the hard links point to an old copy of the file).
Then you can talk to your HD and mac format floppies. Sorry, can't help with using Minix format floppies, though I don't think it's necessary.

Hi Folks,
just got minix booting on my mac II fx the first time.
I failed booting it on my faster Quadra 630 but that doesn't matter (for now).
The next step is installing software but ... how can I communicate with the outer world, in particular with a floppy drive.
i tried to format a floppy via
mkfs /dev/fd0 1440
but that fails with an "unrecoverable write error on device 2/0 block 1439"
also smaller sizes result in the same error.
ok, so I formated the same floppy under intel/linux via
mkfs.minix /dev/fd0 1440
mounted it and put some files on it, but when trying to mount it later on my mac I get this:
mount /dev/fd0
/dev/fd0 is not a valid filesystem
hmmm, what am I doing wrong?
