If you know what town you are moving to let the board know or contact Bob Rowling in Butte Montana, the Montana State ASA director and he can give you the name of the district commisioner for your area who can give you the teams and coaches for your daughters age group.

Also, feel free to e-mail me directly and I will find the info out for you.

ASA ball here is very competitive and gets better every year. Welcome to Big Sky Country.

It's all in what you make of it! We start ASA tourneys the last week in April in the Tri City's, WA., and play 11 or 12 tourneys throughout the northwest. We then take a couple weeks off and start back in Sept. with fall ball in Spokane, WA. After fall ball we immediately go into fall/winter training twice a week. Starting spring we go into little league for a little tune up. Some of us take our softball very serious. In between all of this, some of us take our student athletes to college softball camps. Don't get me wrong softball is challenging in Montana, but if you want to play it's you'll find a way. Good Luck!

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but in all honesty, you will not find the caliber of ASA softball that you seek in Montana. Our season begins in April (weather permitting) with high school ball and ends in mid-July with our ASA ball. The latter after about a 2-month run. Sorry.

Hi I currently live in Reno Nevada and my daughter plays fatpitch softball here. She's been playing since she was 8 and is now softball age 12. We are currently considering a move to montana but are concerned about fastpitch in that part of the country. She has played ASA A ball all her life and is pitching 55 miles an hour with 5 pitches in the 6th grade, softball is pretty intense here and she plays alot in California. We don't want to ruin her chances of making it to D1 colleges. Can anybody give me an idea of who to talk to about teams or how it works over there so we can make a good decision?
