William H. Beale, 85, of Loxahatchee, Fla., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the home of his daughter in Oceanport. William was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. and lived in Pelican Island for 55 years before moving to Florida seven years ago. William was a self-employed builder for 50 years and also a Physical Education Teacher for Jackson Memorial High School for 15 years. William was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Intrepid in the Asiatic-Pacific as an Anti-Aircraft Machine Gunner. William was a 1951 Temple University graduate with a B.A. in Physical Education.
William was the beloved husband of the late Lillian E. Derrig Beale, who died in 2003 and the devoted father of John C. Beale and his wife Gail of Fla., Mark W. Beale and his wife Nancy of North Carolina, David D. Beale and his wife Connie of Elmwood Park, and Karen J. Hannon and her husband Chris of Oceanport; dearest brother of Robert C. Beale of Fla. and loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9 at the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke St., Linden. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 10 from the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Linden. Interment will be in Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden. Please visit www.leonardleefuneralhome.com.
